Construction Site: Tuesday 6/26, all day

No additional fancy new hardhats today, and the work is the same as it was last week: putting up wooden framing for interior walls. Well, what'll eventually be interior walls again once the exterior shows back up.

What is new is there's a CD boombox. Instead of Xander safety-lecturing at them, the workers get music to build by. * Which... might include somebody else safety-lecturing at them, but at least it's funny.

Anders grinned unrepentantly and proceeded to snuggle Bel for all he was worth. "No, I'm actually really good for your reputation. 'cause we're so damn pretty."

"Mmmmmmmhmmmm," Anders agreed, still sprawled out on top of Bel. "Nice hot shower for you, maybe a massage, and then some quality alone time for the three of us . . ."

"Me too." Anders nibbled along Bel's jawline lightly. "Definitely a nice way to end the day."

Then, because he was sort of stuck on it, "So, if we're more serious than just dating, what are we exactly?"

"You already call me your boyfriend," Anders mused. "Mate sounds really long-term."

Bel shrugged. "There's no such thing as boyfriends or girlfriends in the Underworld," he said. "There's just . . . mates. Or slaves. Sometimes there are things like marriage, but it's usually for some dark ritual."

"I'll take that over being your slave," Anders conceded, rolling over onto the grass to curl up next to Bel. A slightly haunted look crossed his face for a moment. "Still can't quite believe I would've let the Source do that to me. Can't believe I was hurting that much, that it would've seemed like an improvement, but then I'm kind of stupidly happy these days."
