Construction Site [Monday]

It's Monday and that means a new week of construction has begun. The school almost looks something like a school now and Fraser's very pleased to see that. Fraser's sporting a new hard hat because he liked that it matched his uniform.

"Good morning," he greeted as the students arrived. "Please equip yourselves with your hard hats, safety goggles and tool belts. Thank you for all your hard work thus far. The school almost looks like it was once a school now instead of a flaming pile of alien destruction."

Add that to the lists of things Fraser never thought he'd utter.

"Let's get to work and, should the need arise, come find me if you have a question."

Bel also wouldn't mind a visitor.

And he wouldn't mind Conner perhaps having a little accident on the job, either.

Anders, who'd never admit to seconding that thing about Conner having an on-the-job accident but would very cheerfully admit to trying to keep Bel in bed this morning, showed up bearing lunch, as well as his shiny new Bridge-built laptop.

To supply dessert, of course.

"What do you have there?" Bel said, eyeing the laptop. "Birthday present?"

"From Bridge," Anders said with a grin; he figured Bel would know what that implied. Sitting down on the bench beside Bel, he got lunch all laid out before opening the laptop. "Never say I don't take care of you," he added, leaning over for a kiss.

Bel kissed him back. "What else did you get?" he asked. "You had a pretty big pile of presents there."

"Laptop backpack from Xander, some gift certificates and books, baseball tickets from Isabel, and movie tickets from Lana," Anders said cheerfully. "Lana is awesome and made sure there were three tickets. Oh, and a ton of baking equipment, and don't think I'm done thanking you for getting all that together yet."

"I heard Parker got you booze, too," Bel said, grinning. "I'm just glad you had a good time."

"Yeah, she did. Happy to share it with you, 'course," Anders said. "I had a great time. I'm so happy it's kinda disgusting."

"I kinda noticed," Bel said, chuckling.

"I can try and tone it down if you want," Anders offered, teasing. "Afraid it's gonna rub off on you and taint your stoic reputation?"

"Demons generally aren't schmoopy," Bel said with a wry smile.

"But I'm not a demon," Anders pointed out. "So I'm gonna be schmoopy all I want, whether or not you are."

"You are so bad for my reputation," Bel sighed, shaking his head.

"Uh huh," Anders replied, unwrapping a sandwich and holding it up to Bel's lips. "But you love me."

"Uh huh," Bel said, snapping his teeth at the sandwich and taking a bite.

"Dork." Anders poked him in the arm. "Like having a reputation as the best boyfriend ever is a bad thing."

"I think I can live with that," Bel beamed.

"I will totally go to bat for you if anybody tries to argue that, either," Anders added. "Plus you know Phoebe'll back me up."

"Do I get a trophy?" Bel asked.

Anders snorted. "What, bragging rights aren't enough for you, you have to have the hardware too? Maybe we can work in a medal or something."

"Oh, that's be nice," Bel snickered. He glanced over at Anders. "So what did Dr. Wilson get you?"

"Um." Anders coughed. "A book. About sex. For three people."

Blink.

"Do we need a manual? Are we doing it wrong?" Bel said, raising an eyebrow.

"I think we're doing it pretty damn well," Anders said. "But there's some interesting new stuff we could try. Positions and things . . ."

"Reaaaaaally?" Bel said, intrigued.
