How to Annoy Your Teachers (And Not Get Turned Into Animals) [Week 6, Period 2]

John waited until each student had arrived and taken a seat before started.

"So, this class is going to be slightly different than our other classes."

He smiled and crossed his arms over his chest.

"So, how many of you know who Jamie Madrox is? I'm sure most of you have either met or heard the name Jamie Madrox. If you haven't, well, we're going to change that today."

He smiled.

"Today's class is a tribute to Jamie Madrox. Why Jamie? Because he took over Professor Aly's, who is pregnant, class a few months back. Took it completely over and made it his own. And, since that was too small, Jamie also took over the school. Principal Jamie Madrox is something no one will forget, I'm sure. Especially not Principal Washburn who, I hear, was none too pleased about Jamie's hostile takeover."

John fought the urge to sing Memories in his head.

"Jamie had some innovative ideas when it came to annoyance tactics. I'd never thought to actually take over a classroom. I was too busy getting hit with stupid animal spells to think past that. Jamie thought bigger, Jamie thought on a more grand scale and Jamie still had time for the little things. Ever thought you were seeing two Jamie's at once? Maybe you were. Maybe you weren't. That was just part of Jamie's charm, you see. He could do the little things like impersonating someone else in class and driving teachers, like Professor Frost, insane. But, he could also do things like overthrowing a very scary principal and live to tell about it. Really, which one of you would try to overthrow Principal Washburn? I know I wouldn't. She could snap my legs like matchsticks and then my fiancee would be pissed come our wedding day."

He paused for a minute, looking up at the sky. "Jamie Madrox was a Stickbug. You may have heard about that prank war from last summer in which the STICKBUGS TOTALLY WON," John said, louder than normal. He just wanted to get the point across to the Meerkats. "Anyway, while most of our pranks were a team effort, they always had that little something extra because, I think, Jamie was there. He knew how to go for the maximum effect, he knew where to strike. Once a Stickbug, always a Stickbug."

John wasn't going to cry. He wasn't. No, really, he wasn't.

"Today's class? Sockpuppets. Yes, I have socks here and yes, they're all clean. I just want you to make sockpuppets at me in honor of Jamie. They don't have to be extravagant or glamorous. Sockpuppets for Jamie. That's our assignment today."

"Next week's our last class," John said, "and that sucks because I love teaching this and I'm still alive! I win!"

[Little bit different this week but a class on annoyance couldn't go by without a tribute to Jamie Madrox! Sockpuppet making materials are completely moddable! As always, homework can be handwaved and teachers are welcome to confront John in his thread!]

They are holding buzzers

Possibly dancing, singing and buzzing.

And for some reason Animal is dressed up as Rikku.

"CUBAN PETE! CUBAN PETE!" Animal explained as he turned in the pictures.

Karal had actually never heard of a sockpuppet before, but it wasn't too difficult to work it out. Socks, puppets, sockpuppets. He tentatively chose an orange socks with large purple spots and some buttons for eyes. "This is very odd," he said under his breath as he attempted to glue buttons to sock.

There was more than a bit of glue smeared over the sock, which was something of a quandary. Karal decided to to cover it in glitter.

Door stares at her sock for a while, before adding some fluffy brown yarn hair and wee button eyes to it.

Then she makes another one, that looks absolutely identical to it, and puts it on the other hand.

Animal works on his puppet finally manufacturing something that closely resembled John Crichton.

"STICKBUG! STICKBUG!" the puppet shouted.

Rikku took the two brightest-colored socks she could find, gave them mismatched oversized button eyes, and immediately had them begin bickering in crazy accents.

Sokka started making a little sockpuppet duplicate of himself, complete with ponytailwolftail and boomerang.

And then, because this class was an homage to Jamie Madrox, a SECOND Sokka (okay, 3/4 of a Sokka -- ignore the fact that the duplicate is missing a leg) appeared and started working on a lemur puppet.

Of course, since Sokka's art is hideous on the best of days, and he was trying to do two things at once AND concentrate on ninja-ing the duplicate, both puppets started looking pretty weird.

Karal was still puzzled over the whole sockpuppet experience, and he had dried glue and glitter on his hands, but he smiled hesitantly as he approached John. "I wanted to apologise for missing your class last week. I was unexpectedly called home."
