Today, Rory was having the class meet in a rather unusual place: outside room 213.

"Hey, everyone," she said, waving. "Welcome to my humble abode. We're a small enough class, and I've fit more people in here -- not dirty -- so we should be okay to all work in here. You're going to decorate my dorm room!"

Because this totally couldn't go wrong.

"My dog is sleeping in the bathroom, so he shouldn't bother anyone," she explained, opening the door to reveal a standard dorm room setup of desk, chair, bed and nightstand. At least, that's what one could figure was under the dropcloths. "We have glitter, paint, stencils, glitter-glue...oh, and I have things for you guys to wear over your clothes so nothing gets messed up."

"So everyone pick an area -- wall, or like...windowsill or ceiling or whatever -- and decorate it. I don't want to see anyone wasting paint or messing up my room for the hell of it, okay? Try to work like I hired you guys to actually design. I want you all to get the hang of this, because next week is our final, and I want you all to be ready for it."

Luke blinked.

"...again?"

Jude chuckled a bit nervously. ". . . yeah. There was this spell and Rikku . . . uh, yeah."

Luke stared some more. "I think I'm going to need a little bit of context," he decided.

"My girlfriend is Deadpool's minion so when I got all, uh, he called me 'Grabby McBadtouch', he . . . kidnapped me. Until I snapped out of it."

"And that took days?" Luke said, looking freaked out.

"Um, yeah?"

"Did you figure out who cast the spell?" he asked. "Because that kind of thing's unacceptable."

"Yeah. She's totally gone now, though. That's why the spell wore off."

Luke made a face as he continued painting, muttering under his breath about abuses of power. "You're okay now, though?" he checked as he reviewed the spelling of Deadpool's name.

"Yep! Totally cool now. Just terrified that if I mess up my relationship my body won't be found for months."

"If you mess up your relationship, I'm pretty sure Rikku has first crack at you and there wouldn't be anything left for Deadpool."

This was Luke trying to be comforting. He shouldn't do that.

"True. I left out the bit where she punched me in the stomach and I passed out."

Luke snorted. "Go Rikku."

Luke was a little weird.

Jude looked dorky. "She's awesome."

Luke grinned at him. "Yeah, she is."

"It's our four-month anniversary this weekend," he grinned.

"What kind of big plans do you have?" Luke asked, grinning back.

"Totally gonna do the whole fancy dinner thing. It's gonna be awesome."

"Ooooh," Luke said, impressed. "I'm kind of new to the dating thing. Any suggestions?"

"First? Observation." Jude lifted a mellow, Zen, explainy kind of finger. "Listen and watch. If something works, do it again but do it better."

Luke felt like he should be taking notes, but he just nodded attentively instead. "Got it. Be interested in what she's interested in, too, right?"

"Yeah - well, not totally. Even if you're not into it, at least listen when she talks about it. Be supportive and all that."

"Nodding off is bad," Luke agreed with a smile.

Jude chuckled sheepishly. "I, uh, I'm probably not the best dude for dating tips, though."

"Why?" Luke asked curiously.
