Once the students were all in the Danger Shop, Yachiru burst forward into the room. The students would be aware of her approach well before she came in; in her arms, training behind her, practically wrapped all around her, were ribbons, lined with little round bells and she seemed very happy to have them, laughing and circling them excitedly, tossing to some of the students their own ribbon of bells. The others, she handed strips of cloth that looked like blindfolds. There were more than enough, so she had spares, and kept circling them and ringing them and giggling.

Until Kenpachi stepped in. Soundlessly. Even if the sounds of Yachiru's bells hadn't covered up everything else, you wouldn't have heard him. Yachiru stopped abruptly. As Kenpachi turned to face the students, there was only a faint tinkling left. It was hard to tell if it was just the echo of the ones Yachiru held, or the slight sound of the ones tied at the end of the spikes in his hair.

"Slight deviation from the syllabus today, students," Kenpachi said. "What you have in your hands, if you couldn't tell already, are bells. Also, if you haven't noticed already, I wear these bells in my hair. I would hope none of you assume that I do it for aesthetic purposes. I wear these bells to challenge me more in a fight. With these bells, my enemies hear me coming. That way, I don't kill them too soon and lose all my fun."

He offered them all a pleased, psychotic grin. "Now. What we are doing today is simple. Potentially dangerous. That...is what will make it fun."

"Half of you have bells. You will wear them on your persons in any way, so long as, if you move normally, the bells will chime. The other half of you will wear the blindfolds. Yachiru has already distributed these accordingly, but, in case any of you are confused, I will list off who should have what:"

"Bells: Teddy, Andros, Alphonse, Molly, Qui-Gon, Michaelangelo, Peter, Dawn, Aravis."

"Blindfolds: Alec, Bridge, Haku, Gwynn, Ami, Adam, Buffy, Abigail, Vi."

"Those of you with bells will try to attack. No weapons, please. Those of you with blindfolds will be attacked. I would like to think that this needs no further explanation but, just in face, those with the bells want to try not to be heard to better attack. Those with the blindfold want to try to hear them to better defend. This excersize with hopefully help you be either more graceful or more aware. If you'd like, feel free to switch positions as well, and try both options if you have the time."

"I'll be around, as always, for questions or critiques, should you want them. Possibly if you don't."

Andros carefully tied the bells around his ponytail as he waited for a partner.

Gwynn went up to one of the people she had never met before. "Hello. Are you in need of a partner?"

"Hello," Andros said in response and nodded "yes, I need partner,"

"I'm Gwynn. Looks like I get blindfolded, so we could partner up, if you like."

"I'm called Andros," Andros said, "I'm okay with being partners for this,"

"Nice to meet you, Andros." Gwynn smiled. "This ought to be an interesting exercise, today. The teacher seems to take his fighting seriously."

Andros nodded, "it's definitely an interesting class,"

Gwynn held up her blindfold. "I guess we should get started, then?" She tied her blindfold around her head carefully, frowning slightly as she did so.

"Right," Andros said as he prepared to start.

Gwynn planted her feet and waited.

Andros slowly moved towards Gwynn. He was trying not to make a sound but as came closer, the bells did make a light noise.

Gwynn turned her head slightly, cocking it as she listened.

Andros slowly moved to Gwynn's right. As he moved the bells made more light noise.

Gwynn was silent and still as she tried to focus and figure out which direction Andros was coming from.

As Andros moved, still continuing towards her right, he managed to get the bells to stop making noise.

Gwynn stayed still as she waited to see if she could hear bells... or failing that... footfalls.

Despite how hard he was trying not to be heard, it was entirely possible for Gwynn to hear Andros' foot movements. He raised his arms in an attempt to attack.

Gwynn frowned and then turned to the direction she herd the footsteps and raised her arm defensively.

Andros noticed Gwynn's reaction and then moved to attempt to connect a blow with her right side.

The blow did indeed connect, and Gwynn tried to retaliate with a blow of her own.

Andros attempted to avoid it but it managed to hit him on the shoulder. He aimed a blow at her left side.

Gwynn wasn't paying attention after her blow landed, so she did take the hit in her left side. She planted her feet again, and swung her hand out where the hit had come from.

Andros managed to avoid being hit this time and as he ducked he brought his knee up in attempt to knee Gwynn in the middle.

Because Gwynn turned with her hit, the knee only caught her in a glancing blow. She brought her eldbow down, hoping she'd hit him.

Her elbow connected with his right side. This time he aimed his foot at her legs, hoping to knock her balance.
