Ninja-ing - Wednesday 1st period - Week 5

“Good morning everyone,” Yondaime nodded his hair looking a bit on the... odd side. “There’s not a lot going on today. So we’re going to continue on working with the weaponry that I introduced you to last week. I want you to work in pairs and try out each kind of weapon and figure out which one you like the best. There are targets placed all around the area and some are hidden. These are real, weapons so again please be very careful. No poking people.”

"Great!" Setsuna may have actually even bounced a bit. "When might be good with you? We can meet in the salle and do some work there..."

If there was a bounce, Teddy wasn't going to comment.

Because he was bouncing enough himself. "Does Friday work for you?"

"Friday morning, yes," Setsuna nodded. "I have to work that evening and, well...that afternoon, I, uh..." Shift. "Should stop at the bookstore and see Alphonse. Heh." Setsuna was blushing a little, and paying sudden attention to her shuriken again.

Teddy grinned and raised an eyebrow at the blush. "Really?"

"R...really," Setsuna nodded, and pretended like she was considering the target more than anything else right now. Including the increasing blush. "We...we're, um....going out now." And then actually saying it made her shoulders lift a little in an attempt to contain a happy little squee-like reaction, and she gave the shuriken a toss with a sharp flick of her wrist, sending it through the air and plunking it into the edge of one of the targets. She grinned.

Seeing Setsuna blush was just so damn funny that Teddy couldn't focus on the throwing.

"This a recent thing?"

With a small snort as if trying to laugh might help make her less blushy and even a little squirmy now, Setsuna lowered her head. "Yeah. As in, um, I, uh, just asked him the night before last..."

Squirmy and blushy! It was cute.

"Good. I'm glad you're happy."

More squirms and a definitely nose wrinkle as she asked, uncertainly, "Yeah?" After all, Setsuna had kind of avoided Teddy after a while with the whole Ranma thing, but...

Teddy nodded, not the type to hold a grudge.

"Everyone deserves to be happy," He said softly.

"Thanks, Teddy." Setsuna smiled, head down, for a moment, wondering if he knew how much she could take words like that to heart. Not that it mattered if he knew or not, because she was happy. Even if Alphonse did blame Cuddles on her.

She flicked another shuriken toward the target. This one wasn't any closer to the target, but was more toward the top than the side. "How are things with you and Chad?"

"Good," Teddy said, playing with the shuriken. "We're going to get him a kitten tomorrow."

"Really?" Setsuna asked, amused at the idea of Chad with a kitten. "That'll have to be one big kitten; he'll smush it!"

She also nodded toward the shuriken in his hand. "You should give it a try."

"He's gentle!" Teddy protested. Biting his lip, Teddy mimicked Setsuna's throwing, hitting the ground just before the target.

"Not bad for a first throw," Setsuna complimented. "And it isn't that he's not gentle that's the the problem, it's just that he's so...big."

Setsuna wondered why she suddenly felt more uncomfortable than she did a second ago.

Teddy blushed at that. Remembering Teh Chad and their... conversation.

"So? It's not like he's going to hurt the kitten."

"But, I mean, he could...accidentally step on the kitten, or something."

Teddy shook his head. "Nah, he'd be extra careful with a kitten around."

Setsuna nodded. "That's good, then..."
