Stabbing People for Fun and Profit: Mercenary Work for Beginners, Monday, Period 4

No bouncing today as he waited for students to arrive. Nope, not in the mood for that.

"Now, if you'll recall in the first class I asked when you'd draw the line for a job. Today I want a more detailed answer," Deadpool said with a manic grin. "I know it's easy to say now that 'Oh, I'd never do that!' or 'No amount of money is worth that!', but come on now. If you want to be a mercenary, why the hell would you set limits?"

He twirled a small stiletto dagger in his hand, tossing it up into the air on occasion to catch it and continue the twirling.

"I want you to get into groups of two or three and figure out a good limit for a professional mercenary. Who will they kill, rob or protect? Megalomaniacal super villains bent on destroying the world? Friends? Family? The occasional old couple who want some really annoying kid to stop stealing from their shop and are willing to pay way too much? Gimme answers folks!"

Haku looked around for a group to join. It was an interesting question, one that he wasn't sure anyone could answer straight off.

Except for Deadpool.

"Hey," Sokka said, walking up to Haku.

"I... don't really have an answer to the question. Do you?"

"Yes and no, I wouldn't take any job that would involve directly killing children," Haku shrugged with an innocent smile. "But then, in my experience there isn't much call for killing children."

"Well, I don't think anyone would take a job that involved killing children, would they? That's just sort of wrong." He shrugged, and dropped to a whisper. "I'm not really the mercenary type," he said, apologetically. "I'm more hero material."

"How is it wrong?" Kabuto asked idlly, glancing over his shoulder at Sokka. "Adult, child; it doesn't matter. The only difference is in how much of a fight they put up."

Haku raised an eyebrow and frowned at the other ninja. "Not all of us have such loose morals like you do, Kabuto."

"For a start, some of us have them," Sokka muttered.

Kabuto shrugged. "Then you'll have to turn down jobs that could get you more." He smiled, pushing up his glasses. "But then, that means there's more for the rest of us who aren't so...burdened."

Haku sighed and shook his head. "Oh yes, Kabuto I can see where your lack of morals is really racking in the cash," he said sarcasticly.

Sokka smiled at Kabuto. "And you never turn down jobs? I'll give you $20 if you stab yourself in the foot."

Kabuto sighed. "I could. But it wouldn't be worth the chakra to heal it." He shrugged again. "It's not that I don't turn down jobs. I just don't turn them down because they go against something as pathetic as morals. I turn them down because they aren't worth the effort."
