Glitter [June 7th, third period]

Rory had sent an ~~utterly and undeniably handwavey~~ email to her students, telling them to meet her in the Danger Shop.

"Hey, guys!" she greeted, waving them in. Today the Shop was completely, stark white -- the walls, the floors, the ceiling. Huge buckets of paint in every color, as well as brushes. And, naturally, their usual array of art supplies.

"So today we're going to have a little contest. I want you to split up into pairs, grab a portion of the wall, and decorate like the wind! The people who do what I judge as the best job get a prize. You can use anything you want, but I'd recommend starting with paint since that way things'll stick."

After turning a pillow into a cow this morning, Cedric's feeling decorative. He found a space of wall an started planning out the masterpiece.

Luke gave Cedric a small smile. "We worked so well together last week," he said. "Shall we expand our artistic, um, thing?"

Luke loitered after class, looking a little nervous.

"Yes, let's," Cedric said. "I'm thinking very bright and splashy?"

"Hey, you," Rory said, grinning. And then she noticed his expression. "Uh oh?"

Luke nodded. "Definitely. Feathers stick really well to walls after they've been painted, too."

Wow, those boots were fascinating. "Remember that thing you told me I should've told Leia about? The one that's teaching a workshop? I told her on Tuesday. She...didn't take it well."

"Should we paint the feathers?" Cedric asked. "We could always spell out Rory's name too. I'm sure she's never had her name spelled out in feathers."

"...uh oh," Rory confirmed. "I told you you should've told her!"

"Oooh," Luke said. "I like how you think!" He nodded. "We should definitely do that. Maybe dip the feathers in glitter, too?"

"I could've told her fifteen years from now and she'd still be this pissed," Luke said, frowning. "Anyway, she's arriving tomorrow to see him. I, um, haven't exactly mentioned it to him yet."

"Yes!" Cedric nodded. "Gold glitter. Or silver glitter. Something that the light will catch and then blind others."

"Excellent tactic!" Luke said with a mischievous wink. "Do we have any blinking lights to choose from?"

Cedric dug through some art supplies. "I think we could probably get some," Cedric said. "Or make some. It would draw attention to our work of art."

"...Luke!!"

Katara

Katara spent a good deal of time making sure she had every shade of blue possible and then contemplated the effect of said blues on the wall.
