Ninja-ing - Wednesday 1st period - Week 4

At the main campfire, Yondaime was no where to be seen. There was however a large box that seemed to be full of clothing. Next to the box was a pile of pouches ~~just ignore that they say 'Naruto'~~. Several targets set up in the trees, straw dummies, a pile of swords and large folded blades.

After the class was mostly assembled. Yondaime jumped out of the tree wearing a black and white ANBU outfit with a long katana strapped to his back. He lifted the mask off his face and smiled. "Morning everyone! This week we're going to be going over the typical clothing use by the ninja in my home as well as standard issue equipment. What I'm wearing currently is a typical ANBU outfit. ANBU are like the black ops of ninja, while my everyday outfit is what most ninja wear, with a few slight variants and every ninja in my world wear some kind of forehead protector as a symbol of the village you come from. For this week, work with a partner or on your own to put together outfits."

Yondaime paused and pulled the sword from his back and smirked. "The second part of today's class, is the equipment. I've made a pouch for each of you that has the standard issued weapons for the ninja in my village. Test them out, with the targets I've provided, along with the swords and the giant shuriken," he explained and nodded to the folded blade weapon. "Please, be very careful, as I've stated before I don't want anyone hurt, and no one wants to be healed up by Kabuto."

Taking notes might not be bad for this lesson.

Sokka wasn't taking notes, because he was too busy trying to make a duplicate of himself.

The box was full of different kinds of clothing. Black fishnet, black spandex, a few of the green vests (http://www.toysnjoys.com/naruto/kakashivest.jpg) that Yondaime typically wore, plan unadored forehead protectors, some ANBU style masks (http://narutosource.free.fr/anbu1.jpg) and some large packs of bandages.

No coats like Yondaime's signature one though.

Having been ~~handwavily~~ asked to wear something a little more ninja-traditional, Kabuto showed up to class in a medical (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v192/kiara_jinzan/other/doujin_outfit.jpg) ninja (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v192/kiara_jinzan/other/doujin_outfit_02.jpg) styled outfit. He tugged at the hem of the single sleeve, looking disinterested.

Teddy managed to dig and find a loose pair of black pants and... fishnet shirt.

Yeah, he put a vest on over that.

"How come your outfit looks so much cooler?"

"Because it's a Medical ninja costume," Arashi pointed out. "Yours looks good though."

"Medical ninja get special treatment," Kabuto added, smirking slightly. "We're the ones who put people back together. Or put them out of their misery."

Sokka went with loose-fitting black pants, a black spandex shirt, some stylish bandages draped across his torso for effect, and a forehead protector that he decorated with the Water Tribe symbol (http://www.avatarspiritmedia.net/images/peoples/water.gif).

Arashi looked at the forehead protector and grinned. "Very nicely done Sokka! I'm going to guess water?"

Sokka nodded. "I'm a warrior of the Water Tribe."

"Very cool. My village is the Hidden Leaf, it's located in the Country of Fire."

Sokka took a step back, flailing.

"You're from the Fire Nation!?!?!?" he screeched.

"Huh? You mean like where Zuko is from? No... in fact when I first got here I think he called me and air bender or something."

"You're from a Fire Nation, but you're an airbender???"

Sokka was just getting more confused.

"I suppose?" Arashi chuckled and held out his hand doing his Rasengan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rasengan#Spiraling_Sphere) move, which was a swirling ball of air.

Sokka looked at it and shrugged. "Cool!" he said, clearly unimpressed. He's been hanging around Aang too long.

Setsuna sighed slightly, looking over the options in the box. "I already have outfits that have been working for me for years," she was muttering to herself. "I don't see why I should have put together some costume instead..."

She was doing her best trying to find a black dress. Dress, or a skirt. Unless they were hamaka, she didn't work outside of a skirt.

As he looked through the box, Dib agreed with Setsuna. "I bet it'll be hard to find something that fits, too." He knew of too many times that loose clothing had gotten caught on equipment, and it was always an easy handhold in a fight.

"Being comfortable is most important," Setsuna added, glancing over toward the boy. "If you're uncomfortable in your ninja gear, then you think about it and not the ninja-ing. And I am certainly not comfortable in fishnet..."

Fanservicy skirts, however...but that's what bikershorts were for.

She wouldn't even get started on the sailor fukus, maid outfits, and cat ears. Those were for spy work and battling, not ninja-ing....

Billy favored the black spandex, as it was closer to what ninjas wore back home.

There was one pouch for everyone, containing: smoke bombs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smoke_bombs), kunai (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kunai), small shuriken (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shuriken), and exploding tags (http://www.saiyanisland.com/naruto/?naruto=naruto/weapons).

"These pouches are for each of you to keep, so feel free to put your names on them. However, I expect all of you to follow the school rules and turn them in to the weapons locker when you're not in class. Please also be careful with the exploding tags. They are similar to grenades and turned on by putting a small amount of chakra into them. The ones I have given you are very low level tags that are similar to fire crackers."

That being said, everyone was free to try stuff out!

Dib gave a big grin to Professor Yondaime as he went up to go get his pouch. This was going to be a lot of fun. He always liked trying out new weapons.

Giving what is essentially a bag of pranks to teenagers...

Oh, this would be fun.

Teddy quickly tied the pouch to the waistline of his pants.

Aww, the kunai were making Setsuna rather miss Kaede...

Yeah Billy was still pretty sure the magic stuff wouldn't work for him. But the smoke bombs kunai and extra shuriken were certainly appreciated.

He hefted one of the giant shiruken, and wondered what the best way to throw it would be.

Sokka squeed with glee at the pouch, and tucked it into his bag for later. His attention at the moment, however, was on the giant shuriken -- the closest thing he'd seen in this crazy world to his normal choice of weapon.

Whooping loudly, he used the huge weapons to decimate several targets.

He's available before, during and after class and yeah, he's going to be wearing the ANBU outfit for a while.

Sokka very calmly walked up to Yondaime and held out two scrolls to him. "Mission completed," he said.

Poorly, yes, but completed nonetheless.

Yondaime nodded with a smirk. "Good job, just you might want to work on the exit."

"I'll... keep that in mind."

Kabuto walked up to Yondaime and held out the scroll from the assignment. The one that had nearly cost him his sanity ~~what little of that he might actually possess, anyway~~ to get. "When did you want us to hand these in?"

"You can hand them in now," he said taking the scroll from Kabuto. "I'm surprised you didn't turn yours in earlier."

"I've been busy," Kabuto replied with a shrug. "Oh, and by the way," he added, toying with the hem of his one over-long sleeve. "When you allow students to break into your house, it's probably a good idea to keep the...ah, ~~brainbreaky~~ 'extracurricular' activities to a minimum."

Arashi raised an eyebrow. "You needed to scout better and not break in when I had company."

"You didn't at the time," Kabuto said dryly. "I'm not stupid. Just scarred for life."

"So am I now," he shuddered.

"...." Kabuto facepalmed. "...I didn't need to know that."

...Oh, and yay class!

*pats* It's okay... we all knew that Kabuto would go batshit insane one day.

It just went in a different direction than what you thought. :D

...I think I'm in shock. Yes. Definitely shock.
