Building a Better Fighter [Week 3, Period 5]; Thursday 05/31

Usually, when the students came into the Danger Shop for class, Kenpachi hadn't arrived yet, so it would be normal for no one to be there when they gathered. However, what was unusual, was that someone would already be there, leaning against a table with her arms crossed over a very...significant chest, smirking in front of the Shop's simple dojo appearance.

Yes, this blonde woman was definitely not Kenpachi. She smiled at the students as they came in; a few of the boys even got sly smirks and a wink or two. When it appeared that they were all there, she drew in a breath and clasped her hands excitedly, happily in front of her. "Oh, this is just wonderful! I'm so excited to be here! You all look like bright, intelli--"

It was at that point that Kenpachi entered the room, with very stiff knees, and, instantly, a flash of rage covered his scarred, jagged face.



"What the hell are you doing here?" he asked instantly, halting in his path and glaring down at the woman.

"Oh! Zaraki-taichou, I was just about to intro--"

"Why isn't Histugaya-taichou here?"

"Oh, he couldn't make it. He sent me to take his place." The woman positively beamed at Kenpachi, kicking up her legs a little as she lifted herself to sit on the table, and then crossing them. Her hand folded over her knees, causing her to lean forward. Clearly getting the most out of that very low cut Shinigami robe. An idle glance and a grin at the class showed that she knew exactly what she was doing.

Kenpachi glared. "You've got to be kidding me."

"Nope!"

"Matsumoto."

"Hm?"

"You are aware of the planned lesson for today, yes?"

"Overcoming physical disadvantages. Of course."

"Exactly," Kenpachi growled. "My students can relate to being short like your captain. As you can see, none of them can relate to having the equivalent of two small children perminantly attached to their chests."

"Oh-ho-ho!" the woman laughed jovially, breasts bouncing, hand to her mouth before she waved it dismissively at the other Shinigami. "Zaraki-taichou, I don't know if--"

"I'm serious, Matsumoto."

The woman shut up immediately, and a frown slowly formed. She glared right back at Kenpachi for a moment before slumping as she turned away. "You're always so...rigid."

Kenpachi grunted. "Class, this is Rangiku Matsumoto, Lieutenant to the 10th Division of the Soul Society, the place where I come from. We were supposed to be joined by Captain Tōshirō Hitsugaya, who Matsumoto-san serves under, but there appears to have been an..." He winced, "issue. I wanted Hisugaya-taichou here to be an example to you on how physical disadvantages can be overcome. Clearly, I am large. I am strong. I am fast. I am built to succeed in a fight. By contrast, Hitsugaya-taichou is very short. He looks no younger than those of you gathered before me and he has really bad hair. His power...is often underestimated, and I was hoping he would show that to you. Instead, we have...Matsumoto-san."

Rangiku rolled her eyes significantly at the Captain, putting a hand up to her mouth as if doing so would block Kenpachi from hearing her as she addressed the students. "Don't listen to him. I'm sure if he's been teaching you, you've all figured out that he's quite obviously cranky. It isn't as if short people are the only ones who have their powers underestimated. Looking at me," she posed, quite languidly, showing off all her assets and giving a come-hither glance over her shoulder, "you wouldn't expect me to be much in a fight, right? Worried I'll break my nails or ruin my hair? Perhaps, but, and this is especially for you ladies, there's nothing wrong with trying to use good looks, charm, and sex appeal in a fight. In fact, I highly recommend it.

"They'll only get you so far, though," she continued, dropping the act a little and imploring them with a sudden seriousness. "Never let yourself forget that appearances only go so far, and, eventually, you will have to prove yourself to not only be dead sexy, but also a strong and competant fighter."



"Now!" With another very noticeable bounce , Rangiku clapped her hands together and smiled at the students again. "I'll let you all ask moi some questions, and then I'll have you fight me! I want you to approach me doing your very, very best to sway me with your charm and we'll see how that works before we get to the good stuff! Right, Zaraki-taichou?"

Zarkai rolled his eye. "I am going to kill Hitsugaya. You heard the woman, students. Get to it. And let me just add that I disagree completely with everything she has said except that last part. You'll also find, though, that it isn't just her attempting to give substance to her vapid approach. She isn't a lieutenant for nothing."

His eyes passed over the class for a moment to get initial reactions before they got to the assignment of the class. He stopped when he spotted the girl who had failed the first week. "And you," he said, making sure to single her out in front of everyone, "are to see me after class. The rest of you, get to work."

Haku was pretty sure that he couldn't use seduction, not yet at least, but he had another tactic to try that had never failed him in the past.

He stood in front of her and bowed with a sheepish blush and smile. "Ahh well then, shall we, Matsumoto?" Haku asked holding his hand behind his back and looking the perfect picture of innocence.... and oddly enough, a lot like Hinamori.

The fight is the important part of the class; all students are expected to at least tempt Rangiku into battle. If you are, for any reason at all, unable to play out the fight, please leave a synopsis here of your seduction style and how you think it will play out.

Just to note: Rangiku will be a formidable opponent in the end.

Going to work soon and won't be back until going on to 10 pm so need to handwave this week.

Qui-Gon isn't exactly accomplished at seduction; he'd probably try something like being straight forward. His last fallback position would be trying a Force suggestion.

The fact that she is female and well attributed wouldn't faze him, and he is a decent unarmed fighter, although much better with a sword. He'd acquit himself well but probably get beaten in the end. He would however accept defeat graciously.

Molly would go for the cheerful girl approach again, hoping to get close enough to punch her. If Rangiku lets her in close often enough, Molly will keep hitting. If she keeps Molly at a distance, Rangiku will have to knock her out or keep going until Molly gets too tired.

Adam was trying very very hard not to blush as he listened to the lecture. It didn't help that he tended to be shy around girls, especially girls who were smart, pretty and excellent fighters.

Yeah, he wasn't too sure how this class was going to go.

Also? Disclaimer! I'll be the first to admit that I could stand to brush up on my canon. I'll be playing Rangiku as pure, fun crack and nothing more, so she may end up being more of a caricature than a serious attempt to portray her.
