"Good morning children! I trust you have all kept cool and out of trouble since we last met," Aggie greeted warmly. She hadn't been a teenager in a very long time and it was entirely possible she'd forgot that they weren't keen on being called 'children'. Besides, looking at her students from the far end of being more than a thousand years old, and they did kind of look, well, like children. She smiled at them, "today we will be discussing communication of the magical variety."

"Last week I ~~handwavily~~ asked you to bring either a cauldron, a hand mirror, a bicycle mirror, an empty bowl, a computer, an empty glass, a pot for pasta, a cellular phone, a rear view mirror, a palm pilot, an mp3 player with a large display, a watch, or a graphing calculator, and those that choose to bring a cauldron, bowl, pot or glass to also bring a bottle, or more, of water with you. Please take out those items which you brought with you today and place them on the table before you."

Once Aggie had gone around around to check that each bowl, cauldron, cup, and pot had enough water, and that the other devices had a reflective enough surface, Aggie returned to the front of the group and clapped her hands together. "Excellent! Excellent! Well done everyone! Please find a partner to work with and we shall begin!"

After they were all paired off, Aggie said, "hold your hand over the surface of your item and repeat after me," she said a spell clearly and crisply and waited for them to do the same. "Now, think of your partner and look down to the surface of your object. If your partner's face does not appear, please raise your hand."

Aggie worked with each set of students before the workshop ended, giving correction, encouragement and praise where it was needed. At the end, she addressed the group once more, "good work everybody! Remember, next week we will have some special visitors from my hometown! Good-bye, children!"

[ooc: OCD is up, have at it! I'll be around for a little while tonight and tomorrow after 8 or 9 PM EST. Not sure about how active I'll be, brother just got hurt at work and I'm his Jimminy Cricket this week. Also, as there were LJ hiccups for a lot of people last week, I'm up for letting play continue on last week's post till the threads are finished. Ami was lookign around, seeing who else was in class and partnerless.

Bridge looks around for a partner.

"Hey, Bridge," Wyatt said, wandering over to him.

"Hey dude," Bridge greets Wyatt. "Wanna partner up for this thing?"

"Sure," Wyatt said. "Ever tried anything like this before?"

"Not exactly?" Bridge shrugs. "I mean, I've touched stuff in order to get a vision about whoever it belonged to, but this seems slightly different."

Wyatt nodded. "And I know about scrying using a crystal and a map, but I've never tried something like this."

Prue searched around for a partner.

Lana thought maybe she should make an effort to get to know her BFF's older sister. "Prue? Want to be partners?"

"Sure. You're Lana, right?" asked Prue.

"Yes," Lana said with a smile. "I'm a friend of Phoebe's."

"Ah, I'll have to be on my best behavior in that case." she said with a grin. She held up her mirror. "Have you ever done anything like this before?"

"No," Lana admitted. "I have absolutely no magical talent whatsoever, sadly."

"I've never done anything like this either so don't worry about it." said Prue. "Actually, you might have better luck with this than me. Last time I saw someone other than myself in a mirror they were out to kill me."

Yeah, that was her idea of plesant small talk.

Lana's eyes went wide. "Wow. So not fun."

She shook her head ruefully. "Now I'm nervous about doing this, isn't that silly?"

Prue smiled. "Since this is class I doubt there is much danger. But if I see anyone but you in the mirror I'm chucking it. Bad luck be damned."

Lana laughed. "Agreed. Except, may I add that we chuck it and run if there's anyone else in the mirror."

Chris was too busy taking notes to go and find a partner, so he'd have to wait until one found him.

Sam spotted Chris not partnering up right away, and went over to him. "Hey. Do you want to work together on this?" he asked.

"Sure," Chris said, looking up from his notes. "What's up?"
