"Stabbed?" she asked, her brows knitting, "Like from that crazy psycho? And geeze, I'm sorry."

"Yeah, from the crazy psycho," Chad said. "It's all good, though. I got lucky and he's taken care of now, I hear, so..."

"Yeah, I did hear that," she said. "And I'm glad you weren't hurt any worse."

Annette took a bite of jellu and considered Chad quietly for a moment.

"Things have been going okay for you? Your workshops and everything?"

(headed out to the movies and shopping and dinner, pick up pings when I get back!)

"Missed a lot 'cause of the injury," Chad said, idly munching on his putetu seled, "but other than that, yeah, s'great. Got a great cabin, great boyfriend. New people are great..." All that greatness definitely outweighed the not-so-greatness of being run through. He even gave Annette a little smile. "How 'bout you?" She still looked a little down. Or at least way too thoughtful on stuff. And why was she only eating the jellu? Maybe she'd finished the rest of it already?

"Well I hope you're on the mend, Chad, and feeling better. Glad to see you are at least up and about and obviously hungry," she smiled and shrugged a shoulder and pushed some jellu around on her plate. "I'm good if not busy doing this and that." And plotting something evil! "The cabin is great, the boyfriend is great, and yes, new people are great too."

"Great." Chad grinned. What else could he say, really?

Annette laughed, "We are so witty, Chad."

"Quite," Chad grunted a small laugh of his own before finishing up half his hot dog in one bite.

Annette finished her jellu, or as much as she wanted. "You're going to have to come and see my kitty sometime."

"You have a kitty now?" Chad...was quite clearly intrigued at the prospect of cute, cute kitties to play with.

"I do," she nodded with a big grin. "She was a gift and she is so cute. White and fluffy with big blue eyes. I named her Angel. She loves me." Annette wondered if that last sounded terribly vain. Drat Turtle and the way she made her feel! "I mean she loves just to love. Anyone. She would love you if you petted her. Really. She's just sweet."

Angel sounded almost too cute to liiiiive. "I'd love to meet her," Chad said. "Assuming, you don't mind? If I come by and pet your kitty?"

"Of course not. I would love for you to come by and pet her. She will purr for you," Annette grinned.

"Hope so," Chad said. Talking about kittens made him remember Melody's kittens at the store and his head tilted as he blinked. "Um, Annette, what time is it?"

And then realized that it was definitely past noon because he was having lunch. "Aw, hell, I just remembered I have to get to work..."

Having been out for several days sort of messed with the timeline in your head.

"Uh-oh, you better get then, Chad," she said, arching a brow. "But finish your hot dog at least!"

"You read my mind," Chad grinned a little at Annette after he'd managed to stand up from the table, taking the hot dog and shoving the rest of it into his mouth. "'ee ya," he said, mouth full as he waved with one hand and picked up the tray with the other.
