How to Annoy Your Teachers (And Not Get Turned Into Animals) [Week 2, Period 2]

John's lounging comfortably against a log when the students come upon the main campfire. He waits a few moments for the students to take their seats, chat a little before he sits up and smiles.

"Welcome back," he said. "You survived your first week of annoying teachers and no one came to kill me. Either you guys are really good, really bad, or you scared the teachers. So, first, turn in your homework by telling me who you guys annoyed ~~handwavy, if you need~~ and how."

And he waited some more for the class to tell him about their homework.

"Great." A clap of his hands and he launched into today's lesson. "Today, we're going to talk about a simple technique that can be one of the most annoying things you ever use."

John paused. He was big on dramatic pauses.

"Name calling, while sufficient, can sometimes be brushed off by people who think it's funny or just enjoy being mocked. Now, we're going to do something I like to mimicry. Basically, it's repeating exactly what someone says back to them. You can use different intonations, facial expressions and innuendo, but the words have to be same. This is annoying, believe me. I've done it before, I've had it done to me. Eventually, it either flusters people to the point they walk away in a huff or they just yell at you to stop. This is what we want."

John rubbed his hands together, looking around at his class. "So, let's pair up and practice. Try to make the mimics expressive and different. Don't be monotone. Let your partner know that you know you're mimicking them. For your homework, I want you guys to mimic a teacher. Mimic for as long as you want in anyway you want. Remember, you won't get in trouble. Tell them I sent you and I'll take the punishment."

After teaching the lesson, John said, "Okay, let's get started."

[OOC: Homework can be handwavy, just don't use specific teacher names if you handwave so as not to mod something that shouldn't be modded but mimic away if you have the time because mwahahahaha. Again, you don't get in trouble if you tell the teacher John sent you. Also, fellow teachers who have been annoyed? Feel free to confront John in the appropriate thread! Have fun!]

Oh, wow. Rikku was almost laughing too hard to do this right. And she dropped the mimicry thing because the neck-shimmy was way too good.

"Oh no you di'int!" Rikku announced, hopping up and doing the neck-thing her self, pointing a finger out. "You needs to STEP OFF, ho!"

"S'that right?" Annette did the three finger snap in the air, hand on hip. "Don'tchoo be gettin' up in here on me with you's badass wannabe self. Uh-hu, mama says she diunt make no stoopid - I got skillz to dealz." She tapped her chest with both hands. "Yous got me, 'ho?"

Okay, she was having a really hard time not busting a gut here.

Oooooh, the triple snap. That was gonna be hard to beat.

"Ohkayyyyyyyy," Rikku said, rolling her eyes. "You needs to check yoself befo you wreckz yoself, bitch. 'Cuz I know I ain't seen you sniffin' round my man. You betta talk to the hand cause the face ain't listenin."

She held the hand-out pose and bit her lip so she didn't ruin it by giggling like a crazy person.

"Oh! Oh! I know 'HO that you diunt jest call me noes biOTch! I know you didn't!" Hands to hips, Annette did the circle swoop with her hips, cocking one leg forward only to swoop around and cock the other one forward, thrusting her chest out.

"I bet you's face be listenin' when my fist connects to that yap-happy mouth of yours! And I'll you's another thing, you sleazy backstabbin'--" Annette was falling short on name calling here "--bling bling nabbin' daddy pimpin' BIOTCH, I slept with you's man jest anhour ago, mmmhmm."

Yep, Annette was biting the inside of her cheek.

Rikku was turning a little purple here. Hey, it matched the hair.

"Oh no you DI'INT! I KNOW you ain't sayin' that sheeeeeit about my man! Oh, you wants to bring it, ho? 'Cause I can take yo skank ass, you nasty piece o' trashbag, if you --"

And that's when Rikku started laughing so hard she almost fell flat on her butt.

"Ohh yes I did you's skankier than me hosebag of dirty nasty ripped up stockin's! You's man is mine man now honey! That's right. Whatchoo gonna do about it? Come on, gimme whatchoo got. I ain't no--"

And Annette absolutely died right then and there. She doubled over, holding her stomach, laughing so hard she was snorting.

When Rikku finally stopped laughing - and it took a few minutes - she looked over at Annette mischeviously.

"I guess we just have to share him?"

"Works for me." She snickered, wiping her eyes. "Hey, do you think we totally blew this assignment?"

"You want even days or odd days?" Rikku giggled. "Oh! Hey! If we did, then I bet that'd be pretty annoying, right?"

"Hmm, give me odd, that way I get to start out with him," she giggled. "And yes! Totally annoying!"

"Oh, man. I guess I sleep alone tonight." She laughed. "We should blow off the rest of this assignment for maximum annoyance factor. How've you been?"

"I've been good. Wednesday are busy for me because for some dumb reason I signed up for three workshops in one day. Go me." She grinned. "How've you been?"

Rikku laughed. "I took one each on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Annoying people, treasure theft, and blowing things up, it's like someone wrote the schedule up just for me. Summer term rocks. Oh! What cabin are you in?"

Laughing, Annette shook her head, "I was afraid to take the blowing things up, for obvious reasons. But you're right, it does rock! And I'm in Platypus, where are you staying?"

"Oooh, really?! I love explosives. We learned about Molotov Cocktails yesterday and you can totally make them out of stuff you have at the store, so when I run out of grenades I can make those instead!" She bounced a little. "I'm over in Kraken, it's way fun. The cabins rock. Uh, I mean, I kinda miss the privacy of the dorms a little, but it's okay, you know?"

"Oh, no, don't get me wrong. I would so totally love to learn to blow stuff up. It's just that, well, I tend to get myself into...situations. Sometimes sticky even. I'd be afraid of accidentally blowing up a limb or something. But I would love to learn to make this Molotov Cocktail? You can buy stuff at the store to make it? Wow." Annette was a bit excited over that. It would be fun to blow something up.

"And...yes. I miss some privacy. Alec helped me a little in that though, but Dick and I haven't tried the bathroom thing yet." She was blushing just a little here. "And last night he was all glittery and I wanted and couldn't and ugh."

"Yeah! They're way dangerous but so, so great. But they're kinda big and take out like huge areas so not so good if you're just messing around." She nodded. "You need, like, grenades for that."

"I, uh. Jude used to have ... own room?" Blushing. Yes. "So, yeah. The woods are kinda nice, though. Uh. Why couldn't you, if he was glittery?"

"Oh. Where can you buy grenades?" Annette wondered what she would blow up anyway. She was sure she could come up with something.

"That'd be nice. Having your own room." Annette was lost in thought on that for a moment. "Well, we didn't want to wake our cabin mates or wake our cabin mates. Not that I'm loud! Nooo! I mean really, I've not had the chance...to express my vocal, umm-" Yep, blushing again.

"Back in Spira, you can buy 'em from Rin. But he only sells the cheap ones. Not as good but they still make a heckuva boom." Rikku blushed, looking down at her hands. "We, uh, we ... haven't, uh. That, I mean. We're still kinda back a ways. But, uh, it'd be too loud ... anyways, you know? I mean. Nobody needs to hear that. Right?"

She nodded, "Yeah. No one needs to hear that...even though I'm not totally sure on the sound because we haven't, uh, well maybe..." Annette wasn't quite sure what she was admitting to here. "So, woods, uh? What do you do, take a tent?" She needed to know these things. Dick would appreciate her thought process she was sure of it.

Rikku? More red. "That would ... have been a good idea. This was kinda, just. There was, uh. A mutiny? And we were all, like, half-naked, and it was so great and I just - couldn't think and just grabbed him because I really really needed to, uh, chew on his neck so I dragged him out into the woods and we were, uh, kinda up against a tree and then we kinda fell, uh, over, and ..."

There is facepalming. Oh, the facepalming.

"Oh, wait! I know where you should go!"

Annette's eyebrows nearly managed to reach her hairline. "Oh, really, that sounds umm interesting. Naked mutiny? And it was great and are there more of these? Like is this a daily or weekly, maybe a bi-monthly thing here? And ohhh, wow, I hope you didn't uh, scratch anything up when you fell over..."

She would have facepalmed for Rikku, but she was too interested in this story. "You do? Where?"

"There have been two. We got detention. It just kinda happened. If it happens again, I can totally give you a call. There's like a list now. And I mean none of the girls ever get naked, I'm just in a swimsuit with a miniskirt over it? I mean, you can, but you don't have to. But Seely and Alec? Naked." She isn't blushing. That's far too happy a thought to blush over.

"Oh, but, uh, yeah! I do. There's, uh. There's a shack, in the woods?" She considered. "I don't know where it is, 'cause Jude went there with his ex so I just, uh, I kinda don't want to, you know? But it's just abandoned and - shack in the woods, dude. Seriously. Someone has to know where it is. That'd be, like, perfect."

She boggled. Alec and Seely naked. Oh wow. That would be, oh wow. Wow. "Yes. A call. That would be great." Wow.

"An abandoned shack - this is great news. I need to tell Dick. Maybe we could go looking for it one night. And I wouldn't want to either, Rikku, you know, if my boyfriend had taken his ex there. Nope. Not cool in my book."

"You bet!" Rikku bounced. "I, uh, the first time it happened, the naked just sort of ... evolved, and I was all 'oh, man, I am so gonna get dumped for this' but Jude was cool about it and I dragged him along for the second one."

"Totally. Somewhere in the woods, not too far, and someone has to know where it is, and ... yeah. Just kinda perfect. Oh! And he didn't suggest it. I mean. We were talking and he was kinda, eh, on the idea, I mean, because of his ex and all, and so we kinda decided ... not so much for that." She nodded. "But you guys totally should go."
