Construction Site [Tuesday - All Day]

When the students come upon the construction this morning, they'll notice hard hats(all of them yellow) and tool belts waiting for them. Once they've equipped themselves, Fraser makes his way over (still out of uniform) to greet them.

"Still doing the same thing as yesterday," he said, "which is prepping the site for the eventual reconstruction of the school. There might be some bulldozers moving around the area so please be careful."

He nodded at the small group.

"Other than that, continue working as you did yesterday and I'll be around should you have any questions at all."

Gwynn laughed. "I grew up training with guys all of the time, Conner. Dirty and sweaty boyfriend is not going to bother me."

Conner grinned at her. "This is where Kira or Cassidy or one of my other friends would tell me to go hit the shower before I even thought about talking to them, so that's a relief."

In order to prove her point, Gwynn leaned against him and then hugged him.

"I'm not Kira or Cassidy or any of the others," Gwynn said with a smile. "I'm me and I lo--like you for you."

Good thing Conner wasn't quicker on the uptake or he would've flailed at what she almost said.

He was a little hesitant as he hugged her back, but he grinned and did it anyway. "This is one of the things I like about you, Gwynn."

"That I don't mind sweat and dirt?" she asked curiously.

"Yes," Conner replied. "And you don't nitpick everything about me the way they do."

Granted, a lot of that nitpicking was justified a lot of the time, but try convincing him of that . . .

Conner choked on a gulp of apple juice, but recovered. "Yeah, see, that was my question too."

"I am sorry if this offends you, Conner, but some of your friends are a little bit odd."

Conner snickered. "A little bit? No, they're way weird. No offense taken."

Gwynn smiled in relief. "I would never do that picking thing on you."

Conner kissed her on the cheek. "See, this is why you're awesome. That, and you came to visit me."

"I can come and visit anytime I am not in one of the workshops." She frowned. "Of course, there is the one workshop that I absolutely cannot stand."

"There's a workshop you can't stand?" asked Conner, frowning. "Which one is that?"

Gwynn sighed. She hated complaining but...

"Interdisciplinary Studies. The Instructor is worse than a horse's ass," she explained. "He asked me who I could trust and when I told him I could trust my boyfriend and my friends here in Fandom, he said I was completely wrong."

"What is he, nuts?" demanded Conner, glowering. "I mean, I get that he doesn't know me personally, but dude, I am so trustworthy!"

No, he hadn't yet gotten around to being indignant on behalf of any of Gwynn's other friends whose honor said instructor might have impugned.
