Construction Site [Tuesday - All Day]

When the students come upon the construction this morning, they'll notice hard hats(all of them yellow) and tool belts waiting for them. Once they've equipped themselves, Fraser makes his way over (still out of uniform) to greet them.

"Still doing the same thing as yesterday," he said, "which is prepping the site for the eventual reconstruction of the school. There might be some bulldozers moving around the area so please be careful."

He nodded at the small group.

"Other than that, continue working as you did yesterday and I'll be around should you have any questions at all."

Phoebe closed her eyes, shivering just a little. "Tonight needs to get here quickly."

He leaned over to kiss her on the cheek. "About as good as it's gonna get, you know, now that you're here and everything."

He thought he was smooth. Isn't it sad?

Anders slid closer to her. "I know," he said, his voice just a tiny bit husky. "It's been way too long."

Gwynn smiled and sat close to him. Smooth or not, she liked it.

"Well, then I am glad I came to see you."

Phoebe nodded, turning to kiss him. "Yes... yes it has."

"I'm always glad when you come to see me," Conner replied. "I'm kind of gross and dirty right now, though, so I don't know if you want a hug."

Anders returned the kiss with a soft, happy sign. "We'll fix that tonight," he promised, wrapping an arm around her.

Gwynn laughed. "I grew up training with guys all of the time, Conner. Dirty and sweaty boyfriend is not going to bother me."

Cole rubbed her arms. "Mmm hmm," he agreed. "What are you going to do for the rest of the afternoon while I work?"

"Sit up on the hill with Anders and ogle you?" she said with a grin.

Phoebe nodded. "Damn straight."

Conner grinned at her. "This is where Kira or Cassidy or one of my other friends would tell me to go hit the shower before I even thought about talking to them, so that's a relief."

In order to prove her point, Gwynn leaned against him and then hugged him.

"I'm not Kira or Cassidy or any of the others," Gwynn said with a smile. "I'm me and I lo--like you for you."

"It's getting hot," Cole observed. "I'll probably have to take my shirt off this afternoon."

Phoebe grinned. "Promise?"

"Promise," Cole said, giving her ribs a tickle.

Phoebe giggled and squirmed against him. "So not fair," she squealed.

"Demon," Cole said, tickling her more.

"My demon," Phoebe murmured as she let her hand wander between the two of them and slightly lower.

Good thing Conner wasn't quicker on the uptake or he would've flailed at what she almost said.

He was a little hesitant as he hugged her back, but he grinned and did it anyway. "This is one of the things I like about you, Gwynn."

"Lost time to make up for, and all that," he murmured, pulling her closer. ~~Or is this the wrong universe? No, wait.~~ "This has been one of the most frustrating week-and-a-halfs ever."

Conner -- still as far the hell away from Bel as he could manage to be on the construction site -- did not take his shirt off, but he was wearing a tanktop, at least.

This time, he was avoiding bulldozers as he helped with the foundation-laying prep work.

Phoebe smiled and cuddled closer to him. "I don't think frustrating is the right word."

"That I don't mind sweat and dirt?" she asked curiously.

"Yes," Conner replied. "And you don't nitpick everything about me the way they do."

Granted, a lot of that nitpicking was justified a lot of the time, but try convincing him of that . . .
