When the students in the workshop arrived at the tables by the main campfire, they found them covered with phones.

"Welcome to the help desk!" Josh said, grinning proudly. "People are very stupid over the phone, especially when they know you can't see the expression on their faces. This is also why video conferences aren't as popular as regular conference calls--hiding your eyerolling is easier when, well, they can't see your eyes."

He waved his hands out. "Today you will be manning a help desk. I have ~~handwavily~~ put out posters to let people know that it's open during this class time, so the phones should start ringing any minute now. Your job is to answer the person's question in the most polite way possible without letting them know you think they are completely out of their minds."

"Coffee, muffins and bagels are available, answering their questions correctly is completely optional." Josh smirked. "Have fun."

[OOC: Phone lines are open for townies, students, and faculty members to call in. Josh has conveniently forgotten to specify what kind of help the students would offer. Ask for relationship advice, song requests, technical support, people to vote for or against bills in Congress, just to say hi...go nuts.

Rikku burst out laughing. "Oh, I am so sorry! It said it was a helpline but not what for or who for or anything so I was just, uh, prank-calling it. This is Rikku! I don't think I've seen you since I got back! Hiya!"

Isabel started laughing again. "That's okay. I was prank answering it. So no problem at all."

"But yes, I've missed you in the crowds of new people. How are you? How'd the trip go? Was she happy to see him?"

"What's a butterball, anyway? And what's the helpline for? And what cabin are you in?" Rikku was bouncing, as per her usual. "I'm great! We had another naked mutiny and then detention. And Jude came back to Spira and we saw a blitz game and boarded in Macalania and oh! I have gifts for people and haven't seen them yet! I need to give you yours! And oh, oh, oh, Isabel, he jumped out before the ship even landed and she ran to him and they just stood there staring at each other and she cried and he cried and I cried. And I can't thank you enough for your help, and I have so many pictures." She took a deep breath. She needed one.

"Come November, I'll show you exactly what a butterball is and why some people need a helpline. And I'm in platypus with Luke. Come by and visit," she said. "And that sounds wonderful. I'm so happy for them."

"Okay! That sounds like fun! And they are, and Yunie sent you all her, uh, 'very deepest regards and thanks,' so if you ever need a favor from her or anything. Which doesn't sound like much but she's totally a big deal back in Spira, the grand High Lady Summoner and all. Not that you're ever gonna go to Spira, I'm just saying." She giggled. "Is Luke okay? I, uh, kinda saw him Saturday ..."

Isabel laughed again. "I saw him to. I have pictures even. He and Gavin got gremlin bit. It was pretty funny wasn't it?"

"They, uh. Luke said he could ... bounce a quarter, on Gavin's ... uh ... butt? And I said 'oh, really? Show me.' 'Cause I'm insane? And, uh." She dropped her voice. "They did. I think I'm gonna maybe be a nun."

"..."

There are some mental images Isabel just didn't need.
