Everything You Need to Know About Magic (but Were Afraid to Ask) [Week 1, Period 1]

Bright and early on Thursday morning, an eccentric woman waited by the main campfire for her students to arrive. At her feet sat a brown bag made of animal skin, possibly alligator or crocodile. Surely it hadn't curled up there. Bags couldn't curl up. Could they? Either way, the lady in question looked rather like someones grandmother, in a long velvet bohemian dress.

"Good morning children! I trust you are all well this fair Thursday. I shall be teaching this workshop, and I am Agatha Cromwell. For the time being, you are welcome to call me Miss Aggie." Aggie smiled warmly at the gathered students. She threw her arms wide open. "Welcome to, Everything You Need to Know About Magic but Were Afraid to Ask! I hope you will enjoy this course as much as I expect to!" She then bent down and opened her bag from which she with drew a chair. She then took a seat.

"I have been practicing and teaching magic for many, many years. I have taught my daughter and her children, most recent of these is my granddaughter Sophie. And what a time we had!" Aggie laughed and clasped her hands together in delight. "But before I tell you anymore about that, let me tell you what I hope to teach you this summer. That we'll discuss magic is a given. Beyond that, I would like to delve into divination, magical beings, time and interdenominational travels, magical methods of communication, magical space, and the responsibility that comes with being a magic user."

Aggie paused for a moment to catch her breath and regarded her students. "Well, I suppose that's enough information form me for a little while. Now I'd like you to tell me a little about you. Start with your name please," Did her bag just creep closer to where she sat?, "and then continue with your magical abilities, experience or interest. I am glad to have each and everyone one of you in this workshop and thrilled that so many of you have taken an interest in that which may be foreign to you."

She looked to the student closest to her on her left hand side and said, "would you be so kind as to get the ball rolling, dear?"

Henry gave the class a bit of an embarrassed smile. "Hello, my name is Henry Jekyll. I'm from London, Eighteen Hundred and Eighty-Six, but I've been at Fandom for a semester already, so I've already adjusted a lot. However, I still find the concept of magic to be a trifle unbelievable. I understand that there must be something to the idea, or otherwise Fandom would not be the peculiar place it is. I do not understand, though, how it works, thus I'm hoping to gain that intelligence during this class."

"I've always, always, always wanted to be a witch, but I was always told that magic didn't exist, and then I came here and I discovered that was a big, fat lie, so I'm ready to tap into my inner potential."

"My name's Wyatt Halliwell," Wyatt said. "I'm a witch, but I'm just learning my powers. My family has been witches for generations. My mom and her sisters were called the Charmed Ones and were the most powerful witches in our world."

Sam took a deep breath. "My name's Sam Winchester. As far as magical abilities go...I have dreams and visions of the future sometimes," he admitted. "But I don't have any control over when they come or what I dream about, so I don't know if that counts. I'm really interested in magic in general, in learning more, and seeing if maybe I can gain skills that will help others. And maybe help me too while I'm at it," he added.

"Uh, hi, I'm Will Vandom. There is some magic where I come from, but pretty much only people with specific duties to do, or evil overlords who want to take over different worlds seem to have it. I do have some magic powers, most of which are based around a crystal that I keep on me all the time, and that I can only use after transforming."

"Hi, I'm Prue Halliwell. I'm a witch. Actually one of the Charmed ones Wyatt mentioned." she said, nodding her head towards Wyatt. "I can astral project and move things with my mind, among other things."
