Naomi came in, got a little bit of everything and sat down at one of the empty tables.

Oooh, Annette loved tecus. She got two. She also got two s'mures. Couldn't go wrong with a lunch like that. Ever.

Finding an empty table, she sat down and unscrewed the cap on her water bottle, then took a huge bite of her tecus.

Warren came in for lunch and spotted Annette. "Oh, hey, uh, mind if I join you?"

He might, either way she answered.

"Oh, Warren! Hi! And nope, I don't mind at all." She smiled and took a drink of water.

Warren sat down, tacus and all. "Did you get a load of that chef? What language is he speaking?"

"I like the chef, he's funny. And he's Swedish. The Swedish Chef." She thinks.

Annette took another bite of her tecus. Yum.

"Huh. I guess this school is pretty international, huh?"

Annette nodded, "I think so. I can pretty much understand everybody, but you know? Everyone looks normal to me too. Even a huge talking turtle looks normal since I've talked to him." That might not be entirely true.

"How you doing today, Warren?"

"You mean that kid who thinks he's a 'ninja turtle'? Yeah, I guess he's cool enough," Warren picked up his tacu. "It's going alright. You?"

"He's a ninja turtle?" she asked. "I...didn't know that." And she wondered how the heck a turtle can be a ninja. Don't they move too slow and stuff?

"Pretty good. I've got three workshops today. I don't know why I signed up for three on one day."

"I had three yesterday. But it means that after History, each week, I'm totally done."

"Yeah, I'm done after today so that's good. And I'm sleeping in tomorrow morning too." she said, brows arched.

Warren nodded. "Yeah. Sleeping in is awesome. I hope they get the power back on, though."

She made a face, "They better. No power sucks. I'm a girl, I need certain things that only power can give me."

"Well, I don't know about you, but I don't really like sleeping covered in sweat."

Wait, actually, that sounded like it could be vaguely sexy if he had the right person sleeping with him,

"I never sweat when I'm sleeping. In fact, I like to keep all my covers bunched up around my chin. Even in summer. It's just this thing I do that I can't quit even if I want to."

"Yeah, I know. But I'm a dork like that. When I was little I used to bring my covers way up high so I couldn't see my closet door." She shrugged and grinned a little. "Guess it's just a habit that stuck. And I can't be the only one with weird habits. I'm sure you've got one or two. Maybe even three."
