Ninja-ing - Wednesday - 1st period

Arashi leaned against a tree in the clearing that was set up for class as he waited for class and picked at his nails with a kunai.

“Good Morning everyone!” He smiled brightly. “I’m Arashi Uzumaki, also known as Yondaime. You can call me Uzumaki-sensei or just Yondaime and Kabuto, if you call me Hokage-sensei, I will have no qualms about giving you detention for the rest of the summer. Anyway, this class is called Ninja-ing because I ~~my mun~~ was half asleep when I submitted my class proposal”

“So we’re going to be covering a lot of stuff in a really small amount of time, some of the most basic ninja skills, what equipment is the best to have, proper clothing as well as some weapons work. There is a really high chance of getting hurt in this class, so be careful!” He emphasized. “We have a medic in the class, but believe me when I say you do not want his help.”

“Today though, we’re going to spend sometime introducing ourselves, getting to know each other and finding out what you already know, since in the next class I’m going to be breaking you all up into teams of three, get to know each other, learn to work together,” he grinned. “You’ll need it for the final class.”

Yes, this was the man that radio said married Deadpool. Feel free to point and stare.

At Yondaime's mention of a medic in the class, as well as the mention of not wanting the help, Setsuna's eyes slid toward Kabuto with a wry little grin.

Kabuto was at his most innocent. You could practically see the halo. Held up by ~~horns~~ halo-holders, naturally.

Far from pointing and staring, Sokka was very polite and attentive. If this man had married Deadpool, then this man's opinion of him might influence Deadpool's. Hopefully.

And hopefully Yondaime wasn't crazy and homicidal.

Like the title says.

"...You already know about me," Kabuto said, shrugging. "There's no reason to cover it all again." Pushing up his glasses, he smiled. "Though for the benefit of the class, I'm a fully qualified medical ninja, and can patch you up in the case that you are injured." There was, however, a very good reason why Yondaime had warned them about him.

Setsuna always sort of hated this part of a new class.

"My name is Setsuna Sakurazaki," she recited. "I am sixteen years old and come from Japan." She paused as she considered what other information might be pertinant to the class. "I've been training in the Shinmei Ryuu school for as long as I can remember; my specialty has always been nodachi, with a focus on wind and lightening attacks..."

Arashi raised an eyebrow at Setsuna and smiled.

//"Wind attacks?"// He replied in Japanese. //"I'll have to have you show me sometime. That's my affinity as well."//

Setsuna nodded, half answering his question and half showing respect in a slight bow. //"I would love to; perhaps you could show me some of yours as well, and we can compare notes."//

//"Of course! We can work out a time later."// He grinned.

//"I look forward to it, sensei."// Again, she nodded, slightly bowed.

So far, the class was entertaining at least.

"Savannah Levine. I'm a witch with an affinity for learning and casting spells."

"A witch? Very cool," he blinked and then smiled attentively. "Ohh, what kind of spells?"

Yeah, he was happy to have students with powers in his class.

"I'm Teddy Altman, um, alien...." This as the worst part of new classes here. "You probably won't have to worry about me needing to go to the clinic or need help from the medic."

Yondaime nodded seriously. "Good," he leaned in an added quietly. "I wouldnt' put it past him to runs tests on all of you guys."

Teddy eeped and made a point to never sit near Kabuto ever.

"I'm Sokka. ...And I'm a warrior." Sokka smirked confidently. "I don't know much about ninja-ing, but I'm pretty handy with a boomerang. And a club."

"Boomerangs and clubs are good things to be handy with. Think you could handle one of these?" He smiled and held up a handful of throwing stars.

Sokka looked at them thoughtfully. "Dunno. Never tried. How's their balance?" He held his hand out to take them.

"My name is Billy Kessler, and I've trained with various masters of the Arashikage Ninja Clan for about seven years."

Dib needed a second to take in all the information about his classmates. He wondered if he'd end up using what was taught in this class to learn even more about his fellow students.
"My name is Dib. I've spent my whole life researching paranormal activities, and a significant portion fighting an alien menace that threatened to doom earth. I wanted to take this class because I know how difficult it is to infiltrate a well-guarded base, and I need to increase my chances of survival on any given day."

Kabuto gave him a flat look of 'you don't seriously expect me to answer this question, right?'.

And Arashi gave him a 'no, not really look' in return.

Um, well..."

Setsuna certainly couldn't imagine putting a simple, straight-froward dictionary definition to it. So she shrugged, and went all Buddha on everyone.

"A ninja simply is."

"Very poetic, and I know many who would agree. But what do you think a ninja is? Or better yet, a ninja does?"

Setsuna still felt her first answer was best, but she tried to think of something more...descriptive. After a long moment of thought and placing her words together carefully, she responded. "Utilizes skills of stealth to complete a task, most typically of a secretive nature. Often associated with but not specifically categorized alongside the professions of spies and assassins."

"To be completely honest, I really have no idea. I've read some, but I don't have a really good idea, besides the whole being able to do things silently and unseen. The class description made me curious to know more."

~~"Wearing all black. At parties, I'm going to be clinging all up on the ceiling and people will be like Did you hear something Tad? What the? A ninja!? Awesome! It's a party!"~~

"I'm not actually sure. Kinda like a mix between a fighter and a spy?"

Sokka held up a finger. "Silent, but deadly."

"Yes.... but not like a fart."

"What?!?! NO! Like a silent deadly thing that strikes in the night!"

"Hmm. Well sadly on my world ninjas have become mercenaries mostly."

Dib had to shut himself up for a second, to keep the "Cool, sneaky warriors of the dark" answer from coming out of his mouth.
"A ninja can stealthily gain access to an area, successfully accomplish a given task (like assassination or information retrieval), and get out alive.

He's really friendly and approachable, but he will not answer anything about Deadpool, so ask away!

Radio killed my brain.
