New Kid Registration and Check-In - Open Tent Outside the Dorms - All Day Friday

Well, the office was gone, but apparently that didn't mean that the office drones had time off. They were in an open tent outside the dorms processing new students bright and early on Friday morning.

It was a veritable paperwork conga line as the human-looking members of the staff did their thing, along with Fred Trooper, Bucky T. Squirrel, Venus, Bob Gremlin and Roz. You might even see the tech support kitten out and about, trying to keep the computers running. Robert Goulet had a family reunion to go to and couldn't make it.

He doesn't eat any pie. There was a whole incident with the boat from Twilight Town.

But hey. There's a Roxas near the pie anyway.

Her nerves were a bit frayed from the encounter with Demyx, but the process of signing in and getting pie had calmed Naminé down somewhat. The people here seemed very nice and all.

And then she saw someone she was expecting even less than Demyx. She gaped for a moment. "Roxas?!"

Yeah, that definitely sounds like somebody calling his name. What had he done; gotten in trouble already?

He looks around and up at... a blonde girl he doesn't know. Right. School. Students. Of course there's going to be people he didn't know.

So he nods. "Yeah, that's me."

"Roxas," she repeated, mind whirling. "What are you doing here? I don't understand."

He shrugs, leaning against a table, a wall, anything.

"Mom and Dad thought it'd be a good idea, to get me 'socialized' beyond my friends."

But then the 'I don't understand' statement kind of registers, and he blinks at her.

"What's not to understand about it? It's just school."

Naminé ... stared. And tried to wrap her mind around what he was saying.

She had no idea how he was here, or why they were separate again, but one thing was clear. "You've forgotten, then? Everything we talked about. Who you really are."

Okay, so she's one of those New Age types. That's okay.

"Uh. I don't... know you. But I know who I am. Roxas."

He points at himself.

"Roh-cksas."

He opens his palm, index finger extending towards her.

"You?"

"Naminé," she said softly. "You don't ... remember me? At all?"

Demyx came here after he died, and Roxas after what happened to him? What did that mean, then, if she was here herself? None of this made any sense.

Naminé shook her head. "I'm sorry," she lied. "I thought ... you look like someone I used to know. That's all."

"Sorry. Don't think we've ever met before," he replies. "Not that I know, anyway."

He gives her a small smile.

"Weird that the other guy's named Roxas too. But really, don't worry about it. Sure it happens all the time."

Naminé nodded. "Maybe ... maybe you just look like a Roxas."

"We talked about some interesting things. If you ever want to hear some of it." He wouldn't understand, and probably thought she was crazy. But she wouldn't forgive herself if she didn't at least offer.

"Uh... sure?"

He shrugged.

"Yeah, why not."

He pushed himself off the wall, and pointed down the path to the camp.

"I gotta go find my cabin. Which one are you in? I'll find you later."

She looked at the sheet in her hands. "Abominable ... Snowman? That's an odd sort of name for a cabin. How about you?"

He pulls his own out of a pocket, unfolding it to read, "Platypus? Maybe there's a theme of 'downright weird names for cabins' or something."

The paper goes back into his pocket.

"But I'll see you down there tonight."

"Maybe they're supposed to be funny." She smiled faintly. "Okay. I'll ... I'll see you then." And hope that in the meantime she didn't run into even more people that she knew.
