New Kid Registration and Check-In - Open Tent Outside the Dorms - All Day Friday

Well, the office was gone, but apparently that didn't mean that the office drones had time off. They were in an open tent outside the dorms processing new students bright and early on Friday morning.

It was a veritable paperwork conga line as the human-looking members of the staff did their thing, along with Fred Trooper, Bucky T. Squirrel, Venus, Bob Gremlin and Roz. You might even see the tech support kitten out and about, trying to keep the computers running. Robert Goulet had a family reunion to go to and couldn't make it.

A redhead with a striped beanie jammed firmly over her locks scanned the crowd, trying to find anyone who might be a Prue.

At random, she chose a girl with dark hair. "Hi, are you Prue Halliwell?"

Prue turned to face the girl talking to her and smiled. "Yes, I'm Prue. Are you my roommate?"

"I'm Vi," Vi nodded, holding out her hand for Prue to shake. "I've had a ton of roommates, so I'm pretty neat and I don't snore or anything."

Prue laughed and shook Vi's hand. "I've lived with my two sisters most of my life so I'm good with the roommate thing too."

"Where are you from Vi?" asked Prue.

"San Antonio," Vi said. "I've never been to the East Coast before. How about you?"

"San Francisco. I've been on the East Coast before but this is my first time in Virginia." she said. "It's nice. Well, the nature is. Not the whole school in shambles thing."

"Have you heard anything about how the school got like that yet?" Vi asked, almost casual. "It's kind of weird."

Prue shook her head. "I haven't heard a thing. A gas leak or something?"

"Must have been," Vi said, letting it go for then.

Because of course it couldn't have been a nest of vampires. That would be silly.

"Which cabin are you in? I'm in Chupacabra."

Prue was thinking along the same lines as Vi. No way there was a gas leak.

"I'm in Abominable Snowman." she said. "Let's hope that's just a name and not a warning."

Vi shuddered. "Or a description. I'd rather not bunk down with goat-suckers."

"Ewww." she said, scrunching up her nose. "I bet those abominable snowmen take up all the hot water in the shower."

"And they probably steal the good shampoo, too. And I don't want to think about what happens if they steal a razor," Vi said. "But the Chupacabras probably smell worse."
