The sun was shining high in the sky above the front lawn (not that this would matter to certain members of the audience since there was a nice awning and shaded pathways). A stage was set up with a podium and several seats for the administration and guests. Off to the side of the stage, a guitar for musical performances.

In front of the stage, blue and gold chairs were set for the largest graduating class in Fandom High history (not that it was a tough record to achieve), and to either side of those chairs were bleachers for students, family, friends, alumni, and residents of the town of Fandom who wanted to wtiness this event.

It was a beautiful day for a graduation.

Dick had been looking for Veronica since he had arrived and when he did find her he did not look happy. "Veronica."

"Dick," Veronica replied, a definite edge to her voice.

"So do you want to explain why you got your crazy-ass boyfriend to punch me in the face for something that happened to you three years ago?" he asked. "Or should I just chalk this up to a bad case of pms or something?"

"I didn't get Cameron to do anything," Veronica said. "He wanted to know why I didn't like you and I told him."

"Yeah, and you figured Cam would just let it go. Sure." he said. "And we were getting along so well."

"I didn't plan for it to happen," Veronica said. "But the bottom line is that you were responsible for me getting raped. And maybe it wasn't specifically you for me, but I'm willing to bet the circumstances were exactly the same for you and your Veronica."

"Well you're not my Veronica." he said, which just sounded wrong coming out of his mouth. "She's welcome to get whatever loser she's dating to kick my ass."

"End of junior year? That was Logan," she said. "Right up until the part where I found he was lying to me about his alibi for the day of Lilly's murder. Of course, it was in secret, so you probably wouldn't know about that."

"Logan dated you?" he asked. "What, was there an explosion and you were the last chick at school?"

Veronica glared at him. "No, we got close when his mom died," she said. "He thought maybe she wasn't really dead, so he asked for my help."

"Beav told me about that." he said. He'd miss that woman's fantastic rack. "But you and Logan is still gross."

"Logan and I ended up being together for a while," Veronica said. "Then we broke up part way through the summer. But we started dating again while we were both here. Now we're just good friends. Obviously."

"Nice to see he came to his senses." he said. Of course he hasn't met Angel yet. "You know, I should have guessed Cam was crazy when I found out he was dating you. But I just ignored it as a harmless flaw. I was wrong. Dammit, why do I have to be such a nice guy?"

"Right. Because nice guys drug girls and get them raped," Veronica said. "You're such a class act, Dick."

"It wasn't all me, you know. I was just trying to de-bitch my girlfriend." said Dick. "You were the one dumb enough to accept a drink from Madison."

"I didn't realize who was handing me the drink," Veronica admitted. "Which was my own fault. But you and Casey fed me shots after that. And then you took me into that bedroom so Beaver could have his way with me."

"Oh come on, that was just a joke." he said. "Like Beav's capable of doing anything like that."

"Beaver isn't," Veronica said. "But someone else was. I got raped that night, Dick. And it's partly your fault."

"Still no reason for me to get a punch in the face as a wake up call." he said. It was and he knew it. But dammit, he didn't have to admit it.

"You're never going to change, are you?" Veronica asked, shaking her head. "I pity any girl who's stupid enough to date you. And I hope she doesn't end up like I did."

Dick smirked. "Hey, I happen to treat my girlfriends a lot better than I treat you."

"Oh, so you would just drug your girlfriends and take advantage of them yourself, not leave them to be raped by all and sundry?" Veronica retorted. "That's such a comfort."

For once Dick didn't have a comeback. "Just do me a favor and keep our quaint little past to yourself from now on."

"Then stay the fuck away from people I care about," Veronica said. "Because if I catch the slightest hint that you might be hurting someone I care about, I'll take out a full page add in the school paper and send the Pirate a case of rum to out you on the radio."

"No problem." he said. "Just remember it was Cam that found me."
