The sun was shining high in the sky above the front lawn (not that this would matter to certain members of the audience since there was a nice awning and shaded pathways). A stage was set up with a podium and several seats for the administration and guests. Off to the side of the stage, a guitar for musical performances.

In front of the stage, blue and gold chairs were set for the largest graduating class in Fandom High history (not that it was a tough record to achieve), and to either side of those chairs were bleachers for students, family, friends, alumni, and residents of the town of Fandom who wanted to wtiness this event.

It was a beautiful day for a graduation.

Shawn didn't know any of the graduating seniors that well, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to show up and cheer along with everyone else. High school graducation was a pretty big thing, after all.

He headed over to Summer when he saw her. "Any chance this seat's free?" he asked with a slight grin.

"Hmmm, I have to think about that," Summer said, grinning. "I suppose it's free."

Shawn chuckled and shook his head. "Thought for a minute you were really gonna turn me away, and I'd have to go sit next to someone's family and make awkward graduation small talk," he said as he sat down next to her.

"That would've been mean," he added.

"Awww, now why didn't I think of that?" Summer snickered. "That would have been funny!"

"Funny for you, uncomfortable for me," Shawn pointed out, smirking all the same. "And now, you're too late and stuck with me anyway, sorry about that."

"Oh, it's so terrible to be stuck with you," Summer said, sighing dramatically.

"Don't know how you're going deal with me for the whole ceremony," Shawn deadpanned. "Such a trial."

"You're so mean to me," Summer said, trying to sound sad. Of course, the giggling didn't really help.

Shawn laughed leaning to put an arm around her. "Oh, come on, me? Never."

"... Anything I might've said or done when we were both under ten years old is inadmissable," he made sure to add.

"If I remember correctly, I think we made up strange food rules," Summer said.

"Waffles are a Friday food," Shawn said with an innocent shrug. "Common knowledge."

"And sugar? Totally better for you than broccoli," Summer said, nodding.

Shawn smirked. "Seems that our opinions on food haven't changed all that much in half a decade," he said.

"Of course not," Summer snickered.

"Why give in to nutrition, really?" Shawn said. "... suppose I might think otherwise if I didn't have a decent metabolism," he admitted. "Hope I never have to find that out."

"Me too," Summer said, shuddering at the thought.

Shawn shook his head. So not going to happen.

"Other subjects," he said. "Graduation is very colour co-ordinated." Yeah, his idea of 'other subject' was rather a random offshoot.

"Graduation does wonders for the robe industry," Summer added.

"Never considered there even was one until today," Shawn said. "Just not one of those things where you think, "Hey, I think I want to be a robe salesmen when I'm older'."

Summer had no words for that so she burst into giggles.

"Don't tell me, you ticky-boxed that in the career aptitude test?" Shawn teased.

"You got me all figured out," Summer grinned.

"I'm sure you'll make robes the cutting edge fashion," Shawn assured her.

Summer beamed. "Totally."
