Fandom High Graduation Ceremony Class of 2007 Part I - Saturday Afternoon

The sun was shining high in the sky above the front lawn (not that this would matter to certain members of the audience since there was a nice awning and shaded pathways). A stage was set up with a podium and several seats for the administration and guests. Off to the side of the stage, a guitar for musical performances.

In front of the stage, blue and gold chairs were set for the largest graduating class in Fandom High history (not that it was a tough record to achieve), and to either side of those chairs were bleachers for students, family, friends, alumni, and residents of the town of Fandom who wanted to wtiness this event.

It was a beautiful day for a graduation.

[OOC: Please wait for OCD. You're good to go! This post is mostly for audience mingling, general graduation stuff, and such. Look for Part II with your standard Fandom Surprise early this afternoon.

It'll be kind of hard to miss the events of the second post, so you might want to hold off an any post-graduation posts for a while to avoid being Jossed.]

Jake was wondering if Dean Tick had spent a little too much time watching The Valley (http://fandomhigh.arborum.net/index.php/The_Valley), but he clapped enthusiastically at the battle cry.

Sam leaned over, "Did I miss fighting the yetis?" Then she applauded when Dean The Tick was finished.

Dick didn't understand metaphors so he had no clue what The Tick was talking about. But he clapped anyways. He liked spoons.

Tori was a little puzzled at points during his speech but she applauded Dean Tick. It was a pretty inspiring speech all in all.

Cameron applauded enthusiastically. Fandom wouldn't be the same with The Tick.

Annette clapped enthusiastically. After getting a piggyback ride from him when she was weetiny, the Tick was like totally awesome!

Aeryn didn't understand most of it, but she's used to that with the Tick. She applauds anyway.

There's a "WOO!" from Jaye. Because she doesn't remember her own battle cry and she doesn't think yelling "DIE BITCHES" or something in response would be graduation-appropriate.

Darrin and Karen both stared a bit.

"Is he the sex fetishist Sharon told us about?" Darrin hissed quietly.

"THE BLUE GUY! YES!" Sharon answered.

"Sharon, use your indoor voice," Karen told her.

Angela grinned and applauded, wondering what her battlecry would be.

Sokka sniffled and wiped a tear from his eye. "That's... beautiful," he wailed softly.

Wow, he just doesn't get more normal. She just watches with her head tilted, wondering if she could get her Tick on the phone to hear what he sounds like.

Kawalsky whistled and applauded in approval.

Katara had no idea what he was talking about. But she cheered anyway.

Richard leaned over to Emily as he applauded politely. "I have no idea what this man is talking about. And why is he dressed like that?"

Krycek tried to follow all that and just ended up applauding anyway. Mountains, valleys, whatever.

D'anna's head-ache was subsiding, not enough for her to follow all that the dean had said, but enough for her to laugh and applaud at the end.

Alanna had no idea what the speech was about, but she clapped and cheered anyways.

Parker was not about to yell her battlecry ("It would have been so much simpler if you did it *my* way" [headbash]) so she just applauded and yelled, "Wooo!" And thought about how much she was gonna miss Dean Tick. Yup.

Re: Dean Tick's Speech

[identity profile] apocalypsesoon.livejournal.com 2007-05-05 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
John whooped a "Woo!" while applauding.

Jack just kind of stared throughout the speech. He understood most of it, but it was one of the most convoluted things he'd ever heard. But he cheered like crazy when The Tick sounded his battle cry, because really, how could you not?

Hamlet didn't really understand most of what Dean Tick was trying to say in his speech, but he still applauded loudly after it was done.
