Thursday greeted the students inside the Danger Shop. Her arm was still in a sling.

"Good work last week. While Lord Vizzle lives on, you all performed admirably. This is our final class, and I would imagine the last class of the academic year for all of you. Thank you all for a memorable semester. I'm not teaching over Summer and I'm not certain at this stage if I'll be back in the Fall, so in case this is the last time I see any of you, best wishes for the future. I hope this class has been of some use to you. Let's get on to the final.

Your task is simple: walk through the door and you'll be faced with a villain from literary fiction or popular culture. Defeat them using whatever means necessary. You'll be graded on ingenuity and the effectiveness of your plan, so if you don't succeed in defeating them, it's still possible to obtain a good grade provided your approach is sound. Once you step through the door, there are no rules.

"Okay Cally," the computer replied. "I have done something to this room that will cause you to lose consciousness if you do not stop it. Can you guess what?"

"Uhhh... you're sucking out the oxygen?"

"I'm not removing anything, Cally, but you're close. Gas is involved."

"Oh boy," Cally said. "Ummm... so you're pumping in knockout gas of some kind?" She looked around for vents or something.

"Perhaps. Time is running out, Cally."

"Hey, you wouldn't want to... play yourself at tic-tac-toe instead, would you?" Cally said, still looking for vents.

"Not really." There was a vent above the computer. "Time is running out, Cally, and I have access to the environmental systems."

It looked like Cally was going to have to outsmart the computer.

Well then, Cally was probably frakked.

"How about... instead of knocking me out, we play that game of chess?" She started creeping over to the vent.

There was a big power cord behind the computer. That might do something if she can distract the computer enough to get to it. Maybe a song.

Cally sang the first song that came to her head.

While she's deceiving me
it cuts my security.
Has she got control of me? - I turn to her and say:
Don't switch the blade on the guy in shades..."

She was now sneaking towards the power cord.

The computer was humming along now. If it had a head it would have been bopping. "Singing consumes air, Cally. Are you sure you want to do that? If you do, we can sing another song."

"I am programmed with over 7000 different musical compositions. Would you like me to sing you a song?"

"Please?" Cally said, starting to feel the drowsiness."

"Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do," the computer sang. "I'm half crazy all for the love of you."

Cally stumbled her way over to the plug and collapsed onto it, hoping to yank it from the socket.

"It won't be a stylish maaaaarriage," the computer was slowing down. "I caaan't afford a caaaarriage."

If she yanked at it enough it would come out.

Cally yanked with all her might. Big scary red eyes are not fun. At least it wasn't going back and forth.

The red light faded out and the room changed back to normal.
