Guitar, Period 4, Danger Shop

All the materials from the previous building classes had been laid out. El walked forward slowly, the metal on his pants clinking against his spurs. "Welcome to your last class and the third part of your final. We don't have much time left, but I want you finish, as best you can, building your guitar. Present to me what you've got when time is up."

He clasped his hands together. "Now seems as good a time as any to announce that I will not be here for the summer, and I won't be coming back for the fall. Circumstances have rather... forced my hand a bit. I'm very sorry, but you've all been a wonderful class. Play your guitar with passion wherever you go."

Ooooh, lasers.

But then Chad thought about how he liked a low-slung guitar and thought better of the lasers, so he just finished up on the nice paint job.

Shawn was sticking to the natural look with his guitar. Less of the paint job, more of the varnish job. He was pretty pleased with it, and humming as he worked.

"Great!" Miley started playing a song on the guitar, really getting into it.

Chad's guitar, a bass of course, had been very carefully and meticulously crafted, but it still surprised him when it actually played not too bad. Not as good as his other guitar, but not too bad.

It looked awesome, though. Painted black and red with white accents to match his arm. He actually went through the trouble of getting out his armour when presenting it, too, so El could see the awesome connection.

Chad plucked out a few random chords...

...and then went into a bass riff from a Zeppelin song.

Sounded good. Not as good as his other guitar, but certainly nothing to frown at.

Shawn's guitar doesn't really look like much (http://www.guitarbitz.com/uploads/images_products/350.jpg), but it does at least play a decent tune. Which in his opinion, is way better than being pretty.

"I figure, the sound is probably more important," Shawn said with a shrug. "And, it doesn't look too bad," he continued buffing it with one hand.
