Extraterrestrial Civilizations - Class 15 [4/25, Period 4]

"Welcome to your final class," Ellie greeted the students. "The final's pretty easy, I think. I just want you to write a short essay on what you learned from any one of the speakers we had this semester, and how their lives are different or similar to ours.

"You've been a great class," Ellie went on, "and I've enjoyed teaching you. I'm leaving Fandom at the end of the semester, but I wanted to wish each of you a great summer."

Z wrote a handwavey essay on how she'd learned not all alien cultures were necessarily 'better' than Earth from her conversation with Kivar, citing what she'd learned of his culture from him.

Naomi wrote an handwavey essay based on what she learnt from Spock when he spoke to the class and she wrote on how different Vulcan culture was to Earth's.

Gwynn wrote an essay about the scarieness of the speaker who saw no issues with taking charge of people whether they agreed with it or not.

It seemed that what Chad lacked in speaking he sometimes made up for in writing, and he wrote about some of the speakers he found most interesting and how he hoped he would be able to maybe one day use all the information he'd gained from this class in the future as an alien concubine ambassador.

Kyo (with his left hand) wrote an essay about the female who didn't have any problem with running peoples lives for them. It turned out a lot more bitter than he had intended it to be.

Bitter about Akito? Nooo, never!

[B-, due to his illegible handwriting.]

Cameron wrote a lengthy essay trying to make some comparisons between all the different alien races and coming to the conclusion that in the end they still were mostly human underneath no matter what kind of ears they had.

Stark's essay touched on all of the speakers, because he couldn't pick just one, and compared them more to the UTs than Earth, though Earth was in there too. Being Stark, his essay got a bit rambly at points.

Carmela couldn't pick just one speaker, so she wrote about all of them. There was also quite a lengthy section on how, strangely enough, none of the species they'd talked to in class seemed to have the fascination with chocolate that aliens in her own Universe did.
