When the students entered the Danger Shop they found themselves in a foyer of a large lavish house. There is a staircase going upstairs on the left hand side and on the right a large set of double doors through which could be heard the sounds of music and people talking.

John was leaning against the bottom of the staircase railing. "Good afternoon," he said. "Welcome to your final exam. Beyond those doors over there a party is going on. Unfortunately, it's been invaded by demons, who have possessed one or more party goers. Your final test is to find the demon, trap and exorcise it." He smiled faintly. "You do have one advantage -- the room at the end of the hall at the top of the stairs has a Devil's Trap from the Key of Solomon on the ceiling. There are also various supplies, in a chest in the corner."

John stepped forward and glanced over all of the students. "This is our last class and I'd like to take the opportunity to let you know how much I enjoyed teaching you. I hope you never need to use what you've learned here, but if you do, I know you'll be prepared."

"And now," John grinned wolfishly. "Who's going demon hunting first?"

"Are you okay?"

"Fine. Cut on my arm. Pissyness that I was puppeted and not badass. Did manage to shoot the bitch, though."

Setsuna drew in a sharp breath. "A little more willing to see why I'm so concerned about you getting involved with this sort of thing, I hope."

"Oh, yeah. I mean, it's one thing for a fair fight. Another fucking thing to be blindsided by that tomfuckery." That? John getting pissed. The poor demon in the scenario is so getting deadinated.

"That's how they like to work, John," Setsuna said, lifting her chin slightly. "They're not human, so why should they feel the need to be ruled by humanity's sense of what is fair or right?"

"Effen bastards. I suppose it coulda been worse, like a succubus or something." He abruptly blushes and looks away from Setsuna.

"Glad to say I've never had to go up against one of those," Setsuna said, "but I have come across plenty of them with a rather distasteful sense of propriety." There was a small shiver. "...But you said she was mindcontroling you? Others?"

"Yeah, there was a bunch of us at the church." He glances at her. "You sure you've never run into a succubus?"

Setsuna paused a bit, as if trying to remember, and then shook her head. "There was this one that might have been one, possibly. Had a hold over a rich business man in Osaka who had some investments in the temple, but I doubt she was very interested in Tatsumiya-san or myself. Didn't have much time before we killed her, anyway."

"Cuz I was sure that--" he claps his mouth shut.

Yeah, like that wouldn't spark her interest. "Sure that what?" Setsuna asked.

"I... later," he said, blushing.

...Was John blushing? "Um...okay?"

No, john was so not blushing. Really. He looked stoically away.

Puzzled by the fact that John would actually seem to drift off and stop talking or being annoying, one of Setsuna's eyes slid shut critically as she looked at him, trying to figure out what that was all about.

John was still not looking. Totally not looking. Okay, there may have been a slight case of blush, but that was from the not-looking-ness.
