Shane grimaces and ducks her head, breathing through her mouth so as not to smell the rotted flesh boiling just outside. She brings up her right hand and presses it against her nose.

Shane looks down at her t-shirt, which is splattered with dried and drying zombie guts. She considers the alternative and nods, pulling the collar of her t-shirt up to cover her nose and mouth, eyes narrowing.

Roy watches with sympathy. His shirt still smells like smoke and ash and carbon from fight, and it's making his eyes sting.

Shane pulls her t-shirt away from her face long enough to ask, 'what's your name, man?' before pulling it back up over her nose and mouth.
