She nods, crouching down on the desk. "This is NOT how I planned to spend my weekend..." She's shaking just slightly. "Don't leave me now, you stupid prick," she whispers, clearly to no one in particular.

Settling down onto one knee, Shane lets out a weak huff of laughter, looking not-exactly-steady herself. "Me, either," she says quietly. "But I'm glad you're okay."

"I'm glad you're okay too." She pauses. "You should have stayed somewhere safe. You could have been hurt, and I can take care of myself." Rogue gives Shane a half-grin. "Military training and all."
