fandomhigh | Driver's Education - 3rd Period

The classroom had all the chairs cleared out this morning, leaving a rug with a TV playing a movie, a couple of cozy coupe and a few big wheels to keep the kids entertained. There were two kids sitting on Deadpool's desk, one was giving the entire class as disdainful look because she was so much cooler than any of them. The other tried to look the same but ended up grinning a lot.

Deadpool stepped forward and started to talk. "So! You all have your final coming up soon and you know what that means." A pause.

"That they're all gonna fail?" The girl asked.

"No, they're not all going to fail," Deadpool replied, much to her dismay. "It means that today is a blow off day during which we all pretend to study for the exam. Here's a hint kiddies, if you didn't crash the car, you'll probably pass the final. Whether or not you pass at the DMV is up to you."

The little boy disappeared halfway through this to go play on top of one of the cozy coupes. "KARYUU, GET DOWN BEFORE I GET PUNCHED BY ARASHI FOR GETTING YOU A CONCUSSION."

Karyuu giggled. "I dun' have a mommy! I got two daddies!"

Deadpool face palmed. A lot.

"Yes. Only possible futures because their being here means I am never having sex again. Ever."

"Is that even possible?" Rikku looked at Karyuu oddly. "It doesn't work like that on Spira. Whoa."

"Man. You're not the only one." She blinked. "From what I've heard. Of other people. Who seem to have kids."

Karyuu continued to giggle at the fun lady and his daddy.

"I don't know. I don't want to know. Ow. Just... ow. If anyone asks, I'm the dad in the relationship. No M-preg for me, thank you very much."

"Do you know who the ... other dad is? I saw someone yesterday who didn't even know." She shook her head. "Are they going back, or are they here? 'Cause usually Fandom stuff goes away after a day, or after a weekend, but ... this is a Tuesday."

Deadpool watched as Karyuu once again tried to climb on the cars. "I'm not sure I want them to leave just yet. KARYUU YOU HAVE FIVE SECONDS TO GET DOWN AND YOU WASTED TWO LISTENING TO ME."

"Sometimes I think I don't want them to ever leave," she smiled. "And then I think that it should be legal to tranq your own kid and leave her in a closet until she figures out how to wake up after dawn because she is insane and I never had that much energy she must be some kind of mutant or something."

"Oh yeah. She mentioned a wake up song for the two of you the other day." Fiendish grin? Heavens no!

"Oh! She did? That was so nice of her! To tell you! And to sing it!" Rikku's smile was very, very bright. "And so nice of Jude, to let me stay with Bayla. I have a roommate and he doesn't! And I'd hate to be away from her, and I think it'd be scary for her not to have me around! She's ... uh ... delicate, you know, that could be, like, traumatic!"

This might be more believable if the delicate flower in question wasn't pinning her dad to a wall with a Big Wheel and giggling madly when he tried to escape.

It was kinda sweet, really. At least the kid took after Rikku a lot. "Delicate. Yeah."

Karyuu stared at his daddy, eye getting large at the realization. "How come you an' an' papa aren't in the same house?"

"N-not all parents live in the same houses, sweetie. Some of them like having separate spaces for all their stuff," Rikku said helpfully. Great, she was going to break up Deadpool and whatever-guy-he-was-apparently-seeing. This would not help her quest to get him to not kill Jude.

Karyuu looked at Rikku and then at his daddy. And yes, he did look like he was about to cry any minute now. "Papa?"

Aww, crap.

"Papa's around! He just... has to help someone at the other house. yes. And, um..."

"Because he's nice like that!" Rikku jumped in. "Isn't Papa so considerate? He's helping someone when they need him, even if it means being away from Daddy. What a great guy!"

This would be way easier if she had a clue who the heck Papa was anyway.

Karyuu seemed to buy this, because his papa was that nice.

Deadpool gave Rikku a very thankful look. Crying kids were bad. Very bad.

'Papa' as he was known came in for his son and saw him start to cry and frowned. "Wade, what did you do to him?" he asked scooping up the toddler.

"It's my fault," Rikku interrupted, flushing. "I was blabbing on about something and he misunderstood and I'm so sorry. He's very sweet, by the way."

"Oh, that's okay," Arashi smiled slightly. "He's two... so it's easy to confuse him." The ninja ruffled Karyuu's hair and grinned as the tiny boy glomped him.

"He is pretty sweet huh? Especially for having someone like Deadpool as a father." He smirked.

"I'm sweet! Sweet like candy!" Wade protested.

"He kidnapped somebody for me once!" Rikku added helpfully.

"Oh...? Uh.. well that's nice?" No it really wasn't but Arashi wasn't one for crushing people's outlooks.
