The class meets in the Danger Shop today, and while Captain Liberty doesn't have any kids of her own to deal with, she's more than aware that some people might.

"So today, you have a practical. You are going to fight Electronimo," she says, and a little screen display shows him in all his blue-suited electronic glory. "He's had it with his HMO and has decided to use this giant ray gun to shoot the hospital and disrupt all of the machines. Essentially, he's holding a building full of sick people hostage, and you have to stop him. He's also got a couple of henchmen who are trying to keep him from being thwarted. You'll work with your partner to keep Electronimo from going zap and shorting out people's respirators and blah blah blah.

"And um, if you brought kids? We've got two choices. I set up a couple of rooms, totally separate from the hospital. One's totally normal. The other will have a little adventure. They won't get hurt, don't sue me.

"Finally, remember that next week's your final. You're going to be here again, working on your own, so I hope you learned something."

"I can put up energy barriers between you and Electo-dude. They might not be able to block everything, but they should block most of the attack."

"How do you feel about distracting him while I sneak around behind him?" Molly asked. "If you can protect yourself or keep him talking, maybe neither of us has to get hurt."

Will grinned. "That, I can do. SOunds like a plan to me!"

Molly grinned back. "Okay, I'll go sneak around the back. Give me five minutes to get in place and then keep him focused on you."

Electronimo is working on his controls, and not paying attention to the girls quite yet.

Will nodded, and waited until Molly was somewhat out of sight before focusing on her target. What a weird outfit. Why did the bad guys in this class always go for spandex?

"Hey there!" she called cheerily.

He looks over his shoulder, frowning. "Go away. Busy," he says.

Will wandered up closer, hiding the Heart back inside her palm for the moment. "Doing what?"

"Crime. Evil. You know, stuff," he says, still at work.

"Yeah, but there's lot of different kinds of evil, you know?" Will said, getting within reaching distance of the laser. "Like, most of the evil guys I've met have turned out to be evil rulers of other worlds who have magic powers and megalomania, but it'd be kinda rude of me to assume that every bad guy's like that."

"Get back!" Electronimo tells her. "This is a very dangerous weapon."

While Electronimo was paying attention to Will, Molly tried to sneak closer to the ray gun.
