The class meets in the Danger Shop today, and while Captain Liberty doesn't have any kids of her own to deal with, she's more than aware that some people might.

"So today, you have a practical. You are going to fight Electronimo," she says, and a little screen display shows him in all his blue-suited electronic glory. "He's had it with his HMO and has decided to use this giant ray gun to shoot the hospital and disrupt all of the machines. Essentially, he's holding a building full of sick people hostage, and you have to stop him. He's also got a couple of henchmen who are trying to keep him from being thwarted. You'll work with your partner to keep Electronimo from going zap and shorting out people's respirators and blah blah blah.

"And um, if you brought kids? We've got two choices. I set up a couple of rooms, totally separate from the hospital. One's totally normal. The other will have a little adventure. They won't get hurt, don't sue me.

"Finally, remember that next week's your final. You're going to be here again, working on your own, so I hope you learned something."

Leon jumped back to avoid getting bowled over by Yukio.

"Aw man it's the baby from yesterday. I don't got a crown for you!"

"Weren't you making crowns yesterday?"

"No, I made a crown. It was for mom."

"What? You can make an extra crown for a little kid?"

"Fine. I wanted to go over to that crafts table anyway. ...Come on."

Yukio toddled a bit to keep up with the older kids, finally just flying after them. Walking was silly.

"Yes, that's much more efficient." Walter nodded at Yukio.

"What kinda crown do you want?"

Waving his hands to illustrate what daddy's looked like probably didn't help much. "Shiny," Yukio finally said.

"Shiny huh? What do we got that's shiny?"

"There's some tubs of glittler."

This can only end in tears.

Poor Yukio was too young to realize the implications of glitter in Fandom. He just bounced gleefully over the shiny.

As were they all.

Leon grabbed a fist full of silver glitter and squeezed it with all his strength.

Considering who is mother was, this was... considerable.

When he opened his hand, the glitter had fused into a solid shape. A strange, long shape with curves and ridges formed by his pressing fingers, but solid enough for the purpose.

"Yeah, this'll work, we can string 'em together..." Leon nodded.

"What color shiny do you want for the next bit?"

"Gween!" Yukio said excitedly, pointing at the bottle on the table. He put his hand out, wanting to try and squeeze the glitter too.

Walter poured some freen glitter into everybody's hands.

"Green it is."

Yukio squeezed like he saw the older kids do. When he opened his hand it was a very small green crown-shaped thing. He giggled with glee and showed it to Walter and Leon. "Seeee?!"

Walter took the thing from Yukio and tapped it on the table.

"Not bad."

Yukio's wings puffed up proudly. He was good at this.

"Man... I want wings."

"We could make wings... There's feathers here and everything."

"Okay, I'll make the crown, you make the wings."

"Deal! Then we can all go fly, you'd like that huh kid?"
