Novice's Guide to Villains and Villainy - Week 13, Friday, Period 3 (Danger Shop)

The Danger Room was set up to look like a non-descript hallway with one door on either wall. Both doors looked exactly the same.

"Not all villains are human or as easily alienable as our would-be alien invaders from the other week. Sometimes you have to face the unknown, something you've never encountered before and likely won't encounter again. Sometimes you go into a confrontation expecting one thing and find yourself faced with something completely different. Behind each of these two doors is a monster. Use your resources. Use your allies. Your goal should be to get them to submit to your demands. Good luck."

After class, she added, "Next week will be our last class before the exam. I'll let you know what it entails next week. It will be a practical exam and don't worry, if you've been paying attention, you won't need to study."

The spear bounced off Grendel's tough skin. Z would need something a little sharper than that.

Even though Grendel could understand her, he himself couldn't talk. The smell of so many delicious warriors was making him go into a bit of a frenzy, and he spun and aimed for another Z, trying to shove her in his gaping maw.

Dodge, spin, hack with sword. "I mean, maybe we can come to some sort of compromise where you don't eat me!"

Grendel couldn't really see a compromise happening. He still hadn't had his meal today, and he was going to be one cranky Kin of Cain until he ate somebody.

Z's sword sliced open a wound on Grendel's arm, and the monster howled in rage and pain. Sticky green blood started dripping out.

That gave the Zs pause. "Okay, that's just gross."

Grendel didn't care if he was gross. It was what was inside that really counted anyway, and right now that inside was hungry. He rushed at Z again, slinging blood and drool all over the place.
multiplez: (half a Z what was that?)

Z quickly reabsorbed that replicate before Grendel could mow her down. "How about not?"

Grendel backed up in shock as one warrior disappeared into another warrior. What kind of trickery was this? Had the Geats gotten warriors who were also witches from the Scyldings?

He sniffed at the remaining Zs to try and see if they smelled any different from regular human beings.

"Yeah, weren't expecting that, were you? Sometimes being a freak comes in handy!"

((I...have no idea. I'm going to say yes, they would smell funny. Kind of 'flat,' maybe?))
