US History, Wednesday Period 3

Chuck stormed into class, precisely on time, and glaring at everyone. He was not a man with which to be meddled, today. This was because, of course, someone had already meddled with him…

“I would like to inform all of you that until things are set right again, you can meet me after class not in my office, but the boy’s room near the teacher’s lounge. For those of you who are wondering why, that is currently where all my furniture is.” He let out an enraged breath through his teeth. “So, it looks like we won’t be getting class started until I find the culprit and throw ‘em in detention. If we do not find the culprit before the end of the period…” He smiled a little. “Then you will all receive detention.

“And you won’t be wanting detention this weekend. Nothing’s set in stone, but I have put in a request to be the teacher in charge this Saturday, and should things work out, I’ve devised the worst punishment that I can imagine without having to fear for my job.” He had a bit of a fire in his eyes. Whatever it was, it wasn’t good. “This is all very sad, really. We’re not going to have time to do the Clown lesson today. My students in the past have always really enjoyed it…”

He picked a member of the class at random. “Spill the beans, kid. Why’d you do it?”

[ooc: OCD up soon. is up! Let the interrogation commence!]

"No offense, sir, but it was only a few weeks ago that people's furniture became sentient," Jim pointed out. "Maybe your furniture is just slow."

"It's not an excuse, it's a possible explanation," Jim said. "I just have trouble thinking that anyone in here would do something like that to you, so I'm trying to think outside the box like you've taught us."

Jim... couldn't resist a cheap joke. "If it was an excuse, then it was a crappy one. I'd have to wash my hands of it, sir."

Jim smiled. He felt kind of proud that he earned detention for something other than his prank.
