Extraterrestrial Civilizations - Class 13 [4/11, Period 4]

"Today's guest is someone who might be familiar to you already," Ellie told the class. "So I would like you to give a warm welcome to the Doctor." She motioned for him to step forward to address the class.

"Well, here's the funny thing," the Doctor said. "You'll never encounter my planet or my people. They're all gone. Just me and one other left, and I really hope you never run into him. Very bad news, he is. Now that I got that out of the way, my home planet of Gallifrey was a stuffy, beauracratic place, when it was still around. All pomp and circumstance and observing the world without touching it, like all of time and space was a bloody museum. Hence why I stole a time machine and went about improving the universe, despite it making me an outlaw to my own people. Just watching is boring. Got to get involved. Do things. See what's out there and grab it and touch it. And with that, well, you don't want to hear me go on and on. Got a question? Go ahead and ask."
