Parker is very, very hungover. Loud noises, bad. Probably not a good idea to talk to her today....

"Noooo." Parker shook her head, then winced. "Spent the week panicking about Lana and her friends. This is celebratory hangover from when Jack said the spell on him was gone. Something happened to you, too?"

Nadia's injuries were, thankfully, down to just the cuts on two of her fingers. She shrugged. "She tried to make me play my guitar forever. Got in a good six hours before Walter managed to yank the thing away from me. Just remembered exactly what happened last night."

"God. Owwww. Go, Walter. And I can imagine." Parker shuddered. "Isabel did all the research, and Bel must have broken the spell, like he said he was going to. Mr. Phale figured out how to stop them, I think. I'm glad they managed to do that before anyone else got hurt."

"I feel kind of like an idiot," Nadia confessed. "I talked to Lana the other day. About how I thought maybe one of the students was possessed and casting spells on people. . . ." Something occurred to her. "Do you know if they ran into Annette, at all?"

"How could you know? Isabel and I were lucky we didn't run into them this week, and get zapped too. I don't think they let anyone remember if they were a danger to them." She frowned. "I don't know if they ran into Annette too. She didn't say anything when I saw her last night, but we were already pretty buzzed by then."

"She was drinking?" Nadia shook her head. "Damn. I guess I'd better just talk to her again." She didn't much want to do that. "She had a gun. Held it on Stormdoor or whatever that kid's name is. I had to take it from her."

Parker's eyes widened in almost comic dismay. "Holy crap. Yes, definitely. What the hell was she thinking?"

"Probably that she was going to be a spy. She got it from Professor M's classroom. We're going to see M on Monday to give it back. Right now? The thing's locked up in there." Nadia nodded to the weapons cabinet. "But I must say, I've had better afternoons than having to break up a fight and then lecture someone on gun safety."

"Hell yes." Parker frowned, then rubbed her head, the pounding starting up again. "I'll leave it to you and M, but that's really frakking annoying. I taught her to use a gun for safety in the future, not to go after some guy here. Crap."

Nadia nodded. "I figured since you're in charge of the club, I should give you a heads up on it. I made it as clear as I could that you have to get a lot of training with a firearm before you can carry it, and that you never carry it at school . . . but she hasn't done a whole lot of listening to what I tell her, so far, so I don't know if it'll stick."

Parker's expression hardened. "I'll talk to M, too, after you guys have a chance to knock some sense into her, and ask her for her opinion on Annette. If she isn't listening, I'm taking it to Principal Washburn. She's the club sponsor. I can't keep it from her if we've got a member who isn't following the rules. Make sure she understands that, will you?" She pressed her palms against her temples. "Thank you for telling me, Nadia."

"I'll do my best. And no problem, Parker. Hell, I know as well as anyone here what can happen if people start messing with things they don't understand properly."

"Definitely. Let's hope like hell it was a spell. Stupid possessed Lana and her cohort." Parker grumbled and put her head back down on the counter, wishing for more painkillers.

"Yeah, no kidding. You sure you should be here, right now? The noise can't be good."

"It's horrible," Parker admitted. "But Jack already filled in for me for a half an hour, and it's my own fault. Thanks, though. It's only another hour." After which she was lying down in her room until her skin didn't feel so tight.

"If you need someone to keep an eye on things. . . . I can help out."

"Could you check on those guys, maybe?" Parker cast an uneasy glance toward Sokka, and winced. "Just in case."

Nadia looked over and nodded. "Sure. No problem. You just relax."
