Novice's Guide to Villains and Villainy - Week 12, Period 3 (Danger Shop)

The Danger Shop looked rather like Fandom Island today. The class was standing in the room, but it looked like they were standing at the front school gates.

"Good morning. Thanks to the TAs for handling last week's class. I was unavoidably detained with my second job. This week we're discussing something all Fandom residents will know well - invasions. In fact..."

Thursday didn't have a chance to finish her sentence. Tripod machines looking a lot like smaller version of this burst into view. It was difficult to tell whether they had come from the outside or were part of the program. "That wasn't supposed to happen," Thursday murmured. One of the tripod machines fired a heat ray in their direction. Thursday rushed to the control panel, pushed a few buttons and various weapons appeared in front of the students. More tripods were on the way.

"There should be more weapons around the holographic town," she said, picking up a holographic weapon. "Take cover and defend yourselves!"

Tori was still a bit confused over yesterday and her seeing Blake, when apparently he wasn't there. So if she seemed a little distracted? That was why.

Shawn's first instinct was to dive for cover. Which is exactly what he did.

This was a nice wall to hide behind, and he had a nice gun of some description and he was going to stay well out the way and take potshots, hoping that would work and he didn't get noticed too quickly.

One of the tripods caught sight of Shawn diving and fired its heat ray in his direction.

"Great." Pippi muttered grabbling a listtle something (http://media.teamxbox.com/dailyposts/halo2bios/25rocketlauncher.jpg) from the table.

Deciding to conserve ammo, she made her way down to meet the tripods, moving from cover to cover.

When she got near a tripod, she would try to use her strength to disable a leg or two, while jumping around to avoid getting shot with the tripod's lazier/Ray/Death Beam. Once the tripod had fallen over, she would jump up on the body and pry an opening which she would then shoot her weapon into before jumping away.

This worked several times before a large wall was knocked over and buried her in a pile of rubble she had to use the rest of class time to dig herself out of.

Rocketship. Finally something to fight.

Mel grabbed the equivalent of her giant axe and ran full speed at the tripods.

Axe vs. Aliens? Probably not the smartest choice but what are you going to do?

Axe vs. Aliens probably wasn't as stupid as it sounded. After all, they had legs that could be chopped at. One of the tripods targeted Mel and fired its heat ray at her.

Tori really was against using weapons, so she decided to find some cover first. Wondering if these things were made similarly to the Krybots, Tori decided it wouldn't hurt to try and find out.

She came out from her hiding spot and ninja streaked to one of the tripods and fired a large blast of water at its heat ray first, and then went for its body.

The tripod didn't see that one coming. The water hit and countered the heat ray, stalling it from firing again quickly. One of its legs flung out and swiped at Tori.

Z hid behind a trash can with her weapon. "Alien robots. Must be California," she muttered. She looked down to see if her blaster had an 'evaporate' setting. 'Evaporate' would be good.

While Z was checking that out, one of the tripods stalked towards her, heat ray barrel targeting her. It fired.

More therapy. Isabel grabbed a blaster and took cover. Between the blaster and her own skills she should be able to stop a few of them.

Luke smiled as he aimed and shot at the invaders.

Heat rays were bad. Top-heavy vehicles with spindly legs were good, especially when you had spider-powers that would allow you to get up high.

Still, he couldn't go completely unarmed. He grabbed rope with a grapple and climbed a building.

Layla didn't want to have to resort to weapons, but she grabbed the closest thing to an axe that she could find, and tried to sneak around.

Ooooh, and they could build a whole new world, hiding from the aliens... Underground!
