Anatomy, Thursday, Period 3
Elliot was all business as she walked into the classroom today. "Hey. Okay, we are on our last bodily system for the year -- the next three classes are dissection, review, and then the final. So I'm not sure whether that is excellent news or very sad news for you guys, but either way, we are on the urinary system."
She passed out a handout describing the system. "The main parts are the kidneys, ureters, bladder, sphincter muscles and urethra. And as you may have guessed, it's the part of your body that makes, stores and excretes urine. Think of it as kind of your body's filtration system." She continued explaining the parts, then pointed to tables in the back of the classroom. They were covered in tubing, coffee and air filters, bottles of water, small pumps, balloons, and -- because no craft project was complete without them -- glitter, Popsicle sticks and feathers. "It's one of the simpler organ systems to model, so what I want you to do is to get in small groups and build a model of the urinary system. And, um, please don't replace the water with Mountain Dew for a more realistic effect, it gets everything sticky. You have the whole class to work on that."
Group A - Martin Blank, Peter Griffin, Ray Kowalski
Group B - John Dorian, Janet Frasier, Yakushi Kabuto
Group C - Aeryn Sun, Neil Perry, Henry Jekyll
Group D - Tannim Drake, Peter Petrelli, Chad Sado
She leaned back against her table to watch the students work.
