Superheroing- Tuesday, April 3- 2nd period

Captain Liberty is looking better than last week, but she's still not braving the Danger Shop. "Good morning, class. Today we're going to talk about a little subject called finding your niche in the superheroing world. Which, okay, let's be honest. Most superheroes don't have one, and just fight whatever bad guy there is mediocrely and then they all kinda mix together in your head.

"So what makes you stand out? Some of you have powers you can use to help you there. Do you have a goal? Do you like fighting petty robberies more than villains? Do you have a nemesis you'd probably be known for tangling with? Or are you more likely to be seen on the cover of Star in some kind of skeezy love triangle with Lindsay Lohan? I've got a worksheet here to fill out, so work with your classmates if there's something you need to figure out, but turn this in at the end of class. I'm not grading on spelling or sentence structure, just how well you know how you want to use your skills. So... have at it." She's still not cool.

1. (Superhero) Name

2. Powers

3. What kind of villains would you like to fight?

4. How would you judge your teamwork skills?

5. On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your costume?

6. Hypothetically, could you ever see yourself hanging up your tights/becoming a supervillain/taking revenge upon anyone in a way that might lead to you having to be defeated for the greater good?

7. Are you really serious about being a superhero?

Extra credit: Pie or cake?

1. (Superhero) Name: Guardian of Candracar

2. Powers: Control of a powerful crystal that does a whole bunch of stuff, being able to use aether energy to attack or defend or whatever, being able to talk to machines and appliances, finding really cute frog stuff on sale.

3. What kind of villains would you like to fight?: Evil rulers of medieval-type societies on other worlds, who are also really powerful mages, and their henchpeople. Why are there so many of them out there?

4. How would you judge your teamwork skills?: Pretty good with the other Guardians, but it'd be kinda weird with anyone else.

5. On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your costume?: 8. It's nice, but the belly shirt and mini-skirt aren't always the best things to fight evil in. I love the wings, though, even if they're totally useless.

6. Hypothetically, could you ever see yourself hanging up your tights/becoming a supervillain/taking revenge upon anyone in a way that might lead to you having to be defeated for the greater good?: No. No no no. Definitely not. The last girl who was assigned as the Keeper of the Heart of Candracar ended up doing that by murdering one of her teammates and becoming an evil queen, and it was hard fighting against her. My worst fear is that I'll end up just like she did.

7. Are you really serious about being a superhero?: I guess so? I didn't have a lot of choice in being picked.

Extra credit: Pie or cake?: I gotta go against popular opinion and say cake. Especially when it has good frosting and none of the weird pudding stuff in the middle.
