Self Defense Club, Friday [After Classes]

Today the Danger Shop was set up to look kind of like a junkyard, the kind with lots of mostly-intact cars lying ~~conveniently~~ around.

"I love cars," Conner said with a grin, perched on the hood of a red sporty model that, if anyone asked, bore a strong resemblance to his own car back home. "I miss my car. Which is beside the point. Say you find yourself walking down the street or something, right? And you get attacked by somebody who may or may not resemble a . . . oh, I don't know, a cross between a donkey and a vacuum cleaner. Cars can be your friend, and I don't mean in the hotwiring them to escape sense. 'cause that would be bad, right, Tori?"

Tori grinned, nodding in response. "That would be very bad. But Conner's right, cars can be your friend. They can offer you temporary protection, if you need it. In these types of situations, cars can help immensely." She knew that from experience, Conner as well.

Collapse, like the cars that get stacked up in the junkyard. Only not as smooshy-like.

For . . . warming up and chatting.

Conner, a pile of multicolored foam pool noodles at his feet, swept an arm around at all the cars scattered in the junkyard -- there were a number of sedans, a convertible or two, and an empty cargo truck. "Okay, so what we're gonna do today is pair up. One of you will try and get at the other -- you can use one of these pool noodles if you want, just 'cause they're fun to swing around. The other person is gonna use the car as defense, to buy a few minutes of time. They're all unlocked, and you'll notice a bunch of them have the windows down. If you're feeling adventurous enough, you can try scrambling in and out of the cars, 'cause that's fun . . . but never underestimate the simple elegance of whacking the bad guy with a swung-open car door either."

He paused. "Oh, and if you guys want to team up with me or Tori instead, just let one of us know, okay?"

Are we on crack? Yeah, but it's totally canon crack.

Ami sort of wanted to team up with Billy. She got a blue pool noodle and looked around.

Evie did the stretching exercises that Irulan had shown her, and bounced on her toes, waiting for things to get started.

William Kessler

Billy looked at the noodle, and then to Ami, and raised a challenging eyebrow.

Ami held the noodle the way one wood a katana. With skill showing. "Ready?" With out waiting for an answer, she lunged for an attack.

Billy leaped back, turning a backwards somersault over the hood of an impala.

Ami only stops to stare very very briefly. She goes around in a quick leap and attempts to strike again.

This time, Billy ducked. "Grabbing the noodle or getting one of my own would be cheating right?"

"Of course." Ami smiled and faking low, attempted to strike form the right.

Billy hadn't expected her to feint, so she managed to get him, but he spun out of the way immediately after.

Ami giggled and continued pressing on. "You can't escape me"

Yes, yes we are. But... canon crack is LOVE!!

"While trying to ignore how sexy that was," he grinned. "Don't think I'm gonna make this easy for you." He did a splits, dropping to the ground, and then spun into a roll that took him under the car, hopping up on the other side. Yes, he might have been showing off.

"What does it say about you" she asked as she jumped on top of the car and attempted to hit him on the head from above "that you think your girlfriend brandishing a big stick is sexy?"

"Not so much the big stick. You saying that I won't be able to escape. That was sexy." He blocked her swing, and flipped to his feet.
