The Library, Saturday Morning

[The Doctor sleeps better than the day before, to tell the truth. While he'd never been one for violence, he was one for action...and it wasn't as if he hadn't observed plenty of war. Sometime in the night, he felt CJ leave, but then she came back, so it was all right, and he continued to doze until the morning.

Now that said morning was here, it took him a moment to open his eyes and face just exactly what the library looked like in daylight, which was Pretty Damn Awful. And so he closed his eyes again, only to open them a second later. There was organisation to be done if they were going to continue to put up an adequate defense.

It struck him that perhaps they should merely attempt to get to a safe place, but the TARDIS was so very, very far away. The dorms had always put him slightly on edge, which meant that they could have some protection on them, but then again--he turned to look at just who was in the library--those who were here would probably think that giving up a battle to save their own backs was cowardice.

Obviously they hadn't lived long enough.

So the best 'acceptable' idea would be to get organised. Now. He slowly kissed CJ's cheek and then stood up to face the day.

And then he cleaned his sword, and started to wake the military types.]


((OOC: This post is meant to organise those in the library into an adequate defensive force, seeing as there's time to do so. He's currently waking up those who he sees as having some kind of military leadership background, and delegating.
Why delegating? I'm gone most of this afternoon (afternoon to those of you in the US/Canada), and can't organise it myself. I trust you know your characters and that they can do a good job. The Doctor himself can be NPCed by anyone who knows the recent fandom decently well; just remember that he will not, under any circumstances, EVER use a gun. The sword is a bit OOC, but frankly, I couldn't think of any way to fight zombies with a sonic screwdriver. Anyone who has a canonical problem with it can talk to me.

Illyana was already awake and pacing the room. She had .kept her wach mostly on Callisto and Beka (hey, she had her loyalties) but as more people started to awake, her mind registered where they were as well.

In the daylight, she looked even worse than she had the night before, but she doesn't seem to notice or to care. She seems entirely focused on the matter at hand.

((OOC: I have been told that my character is in the library, since it was being npc'd yesterday by valentine_tart, but I have't caught up on all my reading yet, so I have no idea what she did, so yeah, she is here, probably covered in gore. She is a sword user of some talent, so it is conceivable that she would have whacked some zombies. Feel free to wake her happy ass up and talk to her since I am online today. Thanks!))

[The Doctor spends the next twenty minutes setting up groups of people. He lets them eat first. Bladed users are one group, high powered weaponry another, medics a third, and standard issue guns a fourth.]

((If someone could please do this and pick a leader--preferably someone with military experience--for each group, I'd appreciate it immensely, as it adds to my plotting. Cheers, guys!))

Hey, I can go in the sword user group, but I can't get to my sword because Father is damn idiot Father didn't let me bring mine because he was convinced I wouldn't need it in this Shadow and I can't Ghost up Grayswandir*, as much as I would like to since it is in use at the moment. So give me something and I can dismember these creatures as well. Father did not tell me there were monsters scarier than us in this place.

*CJ wakes up. Finally the talking and clattering is too much for her to ignore. Years spent in the west wing had trained her to sleep through chatter, but metalic noises kept making it through. Her eyes fluttered open and she stood and stretched. She was getting too old for sleeping on the floor.

Walking out of the stacks, smoothing her hair, she looked around for the Doctor. He seemed really busy, so her eyes scanned the crowd looking for Beka, Jack, or Callisto. They ought to be easy to spot, she thought. They're dressed just like me*

"Girl's bathrooms near the kitchen are safe. Well they were after we cleared them out, you might not want to go into the boy's." Cameron suggested and motioned to the containers. "There's food if you want."

"All right," she calls out. "For those of you who are still unarmed, I am going to take a small group down to the common areas to scrounge for weapons. I do not want to see anyone defenseless. Meet me by the door if you're coming along. If you're staying here, find something here to use as a weapon."
