Students are directed to the Danger Shop by notes and possibly a TA or two.

When the students are assembled, the doors shut with a *clank*.

All is silence for a moment and then a tremendous cloud of black sparkling spoke pours out of, well, nothing actually.

When it clears, a rather ominous and wizardly looking fellow is standing there.

He turns a baleful eye upon the students for an long time, uncomfortably long. It's actually rather creepy. Not creepy in a suspenseful way either. More creepy in a 'I don't want to sit next to this guy on the bus' kind of way.

Finally, he speaks.

"Students of Orpheus!" he says in a voice that's higher pitched then you'd expect to hear. In fact, it kind of sounds like there some dude in his early twenties under all that white hair and the crazy velveteen robes. "I... Am CURSE! I seek to become your teacher's nemesis! And this time, he will actually read my resume! I have lured him away to the Forbidden Zone where he will be ~~dining with the little midget king!~~ distracted while I teach you all a lesson he will never forget!!!"

Wait. Did that make sense? He'll teach... Yes. Yes it did. Okay, good.

"I see he had some implements set out for whatever exercise he had planned for you before my plans were... You know. Replacing his...

Anyway! Since you are all but children I will let you select a weapon or protection that will no doubt fail under the weight of my magic!

Magic is kind of my thing you see...

[[ooc: Curse is a hologram, this is the Danger Shop. The table holds both mundane and magical implements. Magical implements can be anything you would not qualify as a legendary artifact. (Sorry Halliwell, no Excalibur sitting around for you to pick up... Nice longsword +1 though.) Mundane items range from a board with a nail in it, to a (perfectly normal) colt peacemaker. There are also "spell components" on the table to throw together an amulet or something that just smells really bad. Yes, there is chocolate.]]

Sam worked on making himself an amulet that didn't smell, which was much easier said than done. He smiled at Dawn when he saw her pick up the bow and arrows. "That's a good choice."

"Thanks," she said, then muttered something under her breath about guns, finishing with a glare at Sam, "AND NO standing in front of me anymore; You could have been hurt!" Doofus.

"What are you talking about?" Sam said, taking a step back just in case.

"You," she hissed, "at the place! Standing in front of me with your tall self so you'd get shot or hurt before I did." Dawn reached over to thwap him. "No more, Sam, I mean it!"

Sam scowled at the thwapping. "Hey! I'm sorry, it was just instinct."

"I don't want to see you shot any more than you want to see it happen to me," Dawn argued, again including the silent doofus at the end of the sentence, "and that goes just as much when you've been stupid about other stuff, in case you were wondering."

"Have I told you that I'm sorry about the stupid stuff? Because I am," he said.
"And that includes jumping in front of you to get shot first if you want it to."

That actually helped a lot, but, "Did you talk to Alec? It's his life you torpedoed, not mine."

"I haven't gotten a chance to yet," Sam admitted. "But I'm going to apologize to him, for the e-mail and everything else from last week."

"Dean said you talked to him too--how'd that go?"

"Better than I thought it would," he said. "I think we worked things out, once I agreed to apologize to Alec and embarrass myself publicly in Ethics class."

"What do you have to do?" Dawn was relieved that Dean and Sam had worked things out, but still hoped that Dean had a camera or was really good at descriptions.

"When Dean and Alec went to Disney World, they brought back souvenirs. For some reason, Alec decided to bring me one of those hats with the mouse ears on it," Sam said. "I have to wear it during class."

Personally, Dawn thought Sam was getting off pretty darn easily. "And that's it?"

"For now," Sam replied. "I wouldn't be surprised if Dean came up with additional things I have to do to prove how sorry I really am."

"Is there anything you won't do?" She asked, ~~mostly~~ just out of curiosity.

"Honestly? Probably not," Sam admitted. "I mean, Dean wouldn't ask me to do anything dangerous or painfully crazy. So, as much as I'd bitch about it, I'd still do whatever he asked if it means he forgives me for being an idiot in the end."

"That's very trusting of you," Dawn smirked a little at him.

"Just because Dean's an ass doesn't mean I wouldn't trust him right down to the very end," Sam replied.

"I guess the same goes with him trusting you even when you're stupid," Dawn said, envying him his relationship with Dean.

"Well, I don't know if he trusts me as much now as he did before last week. Hence the attempts at getting as much forgiveness as I can," Sam said.

"You'll get it back," she tried to be reassuring.

"Thanks, I hope so," Sam replied, pausing for a moment as he looked at Dawn carefully. "What about you? I mean, what can I do to win back your trust too?"

"I'm not sure," she admitted, "I mean, you didn't do anything to me. If Alec and Dean forgive you, I can't not, y'know? But I'm selfish, and I want to know you won't do that again. I could have been even more dangerous to Dean, and you didn't do anything about it while we were dating."

"But you're...you," Sam said, like that explained everything. "You're sweet and wonderful and wouldn't hurt anyone unless you absolutely and utterly had to. I know I can trust you, and I knew that back when you and Dean were dating too. I never felt like I had anything to worry about. And you never treated me like crap," he pointed out, "so you got bonus points for that too."
