Student Council [lunchtime]

Josh was asleep resting his eyes -- just for a second! -- as he waited for the Student Council to arrive.

When they did, he waved them towards the Chinese food in the back of the room. "Prom and, well, more prom," he said. "Get to the talking and planning, people!"

Then he went back to sleeping resting his eyes, his amazing leadership skills tapped out for the moment.

"Not I," Peter said, with a smile. "But I like the theme idea. We could have a gondala or something even."

"That's what I was thinking," Isabel admitted. "I know last year we had prom at town hall, but I was thinking maybe we could do a tent in the park? Then we could have gondola rides. I know it's only the pond, but I bet it would still be romantic." Which made her frown briefly since she doubted she'd have anyone to be romantic with.

"That would be pretty," Peter agreed. "We could have torches and such after the sun went down. And perhaps fairy lights? Perhaps even dig out a small moat around the dance area for the gondola. It shouldn't be too difficult."

"Lots of fairy lights," she agreed. "Since candles would probably be a fire hazard. And moat slash mock canal would be awesome. If we set it up right we could put some pretty backdrops up to look like the canals."

Peter grinned. "I wonder how many people will fall out of the boats."

"I think it depends on if it's before or after the punch winds up spiked," Isabel chuckled. "I suppose we'll need a life guard?"

"Was there? I only met the sex obsessed old lady," Isabel said.

"Yeah, I saw a guy carrying around one of those life buoy things."

"Definitely a lifeguard. He stopped by my room and tried to make sure I was up on water safety," Peter remembered.
