Music is Love: Friday [3/23] - Third Period

Lorne is busy lounging in his chair with a big old pair of sunglasses talking on his cell phone to his agent.

"I don't care what that schmuck says Roger. Give 'em hell and get me a percentage," Lorne said in a very "Hollywood" fashion before hanging up.

"Kittens! Welcome to class. Today your theme was to come up with a closing track to the hip new film "Fandom Chicken: the Motion Picture". Our guest judge today is... dare I say it? Genius? Mad? Has a mask only a mother could love? Or is it all of the above. Give it up for Valenteen!"

Lorne sat back in his chair. "Now someone be a good production assistant and get me a latte so we can get this party started."

"I was worried," he said quietly. "I didn't know. And not many people know me so..."

Molly reached over to take his hand. "I'm sorry, Ray," she said. "I wanted to call you, but my phone cut out. I left a message with someone who knew everyone who was going, but I don't even know if that got through."

He squeezed her hand before bringing it to his lips. "I'm glad. And I'm glad you helped your friend."

Molly grinned at the hand kissing.

"It could have been a fun trip if I hadn't been worried about John," she said. "Things and people are so different where Aeryn's from."

"So...you didn't just go to another country, huh?"

Eyes wide, Molly shook her head. "We went to... I don't even know where, but we went to two different planets. One of them was completely covered in ice."

"Sounds like a movie I saw once," Ray muttered. "So, it was cool besides your friend being in trouble?"

"Yes," she said. "I wish it had been a planned trip. There was so much to see. I really wanted to stay longer on the market planet we stopped on. Stupid soldiers."

"Soldiers?"

"Did I say that out loud?"

"Uh, yeah." He gave her a look.

"Umm, there might have been a little incident at the market that required us to leave sooner than we'd planned."

"What kind of incident?"

"Jamie knocked over a vegetable cart and then duplicated himself."

"That doesn't sound so bad," he said. "What brought the soldiers out?"

Molly shrugged. "Regular patrol? Who knows. They were just there and saw Jamie suddenly become three of him."

"And people from another planet thought that was strange?"

Molly nodded. "Most of the people may not have looked human, but someone suddenly having two exact duplicates still was a bit unusual I guess."

"You guys didn't just play the dupe off as a twin?"

"Well, he kind of just appeared while everyone was looking at Jamie."

"Ah." Okay, that made more sense. "How'd you get away?"

"Well," Molly said, in a pleased-with-herself tone of voice, "see they didn't know I was with Aeryn and the Jamies. So, when all the soldiers had their guns pointed at them, I was free to run in from the side and knock them all over. Then we ran for it."

"You...knocked armed soldiers over?"

"Like dominoes," Molly said with a grin.

Ray couldn't stop himself from laughing. "Any other person, I'd be worried they hurt themselves doing that."
