Forensic Science - March 20th 5th period

Abby is sitting on one of the lab stools, spinning in a circle as the students enter. "I failed at tackling people this week so no talking dead people. So instead we're going to play with computer forensics."

"Not everything is blood, guts and fingerprints. A lot of times you'll be using computers to catch the bad guys." Abby described some of the programs. "Setting up crime scene analysis, tracing emails, tracking GPS, following bank accounts. That sort of thing."

Pointing out a stack of laptops, she grinned. "These are loaded up with every sort of forensic tool you'll need. Broots, Mac and Lucas? I'll be counting the laptops before you leave so don't get any ideas."

John was looking around, seeing if he could hack someone's computer remotely without getting caught. He waves at Ami.

Ami waved back.

Hrm. Would it be easier to hack her computer or send her a note? He debated, poking around in the files. Hrm. Video logs. Let's see here--oh, my. That's special. He tilted his head.

"What are you up to John?"

He closed the window. Quickly. "Uh, not much. How's you? you're out and about. Good to see."

Ami raised an eyebrow. "John? What were you doing?"

"Whoever this computer belonged to? Very interesting browsing habits. You don't want to know. So... what's up? How're you doing?"

Ami most definitely wanted to know. "Oh, i totally want to know." She walked over. "And things are ok, I am doing fine. Taking things easy as instructed."

"I'll tell you when you're older. Much older. And have your own credit card so you can order the movies directly."

"Glad to see you moving around. We were worried."

"Ah, those sorts of movies." Ami wrinkled her nose in mild disapproval.

"You were?"

"Well, yeah. Visited a couple times. Tried to talk, but you didn't say much."

"Oh." Ami blushed. "I am sorry. I was a little... not there."

"Really? I couldn't tell from the tubes and wires and the you not moving part," he teased. "But you're doing better?"

Ami nodded, blushing a bit again. "I am better. They do not knwo what was wrong either, but i am better." she paused and looked John over. "And you? You were there too,fighting..."

He scratched his leg. "Got beat up a bit, but other'n that, was fine. Trip back was a bit chilly, though."

"Chilly?"

"Kinda. Yeah. Very." He must be cold now, what with all the red in his face.

"Why?"

"Um. I was covered in alien goo. And not much else."

"I see..." Ami tried really really hard to not visualize. "And um, you said you got beat up... are you alright? Did you see the doctors?"

John tried not to give her the mental image. I mean, she was just fresh from the coma. Might send her back. "No, not really. Just put some iodine on it and wrapped it. It's not too bad."

"Jooohn! Go see a doctor. Do i have to take you to the clinic myself?"

"Hey, it's better. Really. And I like having a second head. Really increases visibilty," he teased.

ami sighed. "Clearly the answer is yes, i need to take you to the clinic. Tomorrow?"

"Uh, I have to wash my hair tomorrow. And walk the dog."
