"Sorry for missing last week, guys," said Daniel sheepishly. "Uh, something came up."
"Today, however, I want you to think about the varied events surrounding medicine in the twentieth century. We have the good -- such as the erradication of smallpox, and the new miracles of "modern" medicine. But what about the bad?
"But also think about how the bad has helped improve medicine, for example, the injuries sustained in wars have helped doctors seek better ways to treat the human body."
