Amid all the chaos -- At the library

Amid all the chaos of the library, Methos remained near the front. Behind him everyone was squabbling and shuffling, trying to force themselves back or move themselves forward.

Around a corner, through the last faint smoke from the explosion of Principal Connor's office, Methos spied a slow-moving figure. "Here it comes!" he shouted at the top of his lungs, then moved forward.

Illyana grins back a her.

"We finally get to fight something, eh?"

Illyana grins and hen runs a hand through her hair anad grimaces. "I should have let the two of you kill Sawyer," she mutters.

"Maybe the zombies will do it for us. No expulsion. But. If not. He's ours."

She bares her teeth and snarls.

Illyana smiles faintly. "He was using me, Beka. He's a con man. He believes in using someone to get whatever he wants or can."

Beka looks around and sees there's a pause in the action. She moves closer to 'Yana, and touches her cheek. "You're better than him. Much." If it wouldn't break them both, she'd hold 'Yana, but now strength is important.

Illyana nods, knowing they would have more time to talk when they got out of there.
