Amid all the chaos -- At the library

Amid all the chaos of the library, Methos remained near the front. Behind him everyone was squabbling and shuffling, trying to force themselves back or move themselves forward.

Around a corner, through the last faint smoke from the explosion of Principal Connor's office, Methos spied a slow-moving figure. "Here it comes!" he shouted at the top of his lungs, then moved forward.

Roy hears him, but his mind is racing. Still too many bystanders! Aaah fuck it! Better than being bitten!

Roy stands back as far as he can from the mob, up against the wall. He snaps his fingers, and two streaks of flame shoot from his hands, arching over the crowd to strike two zombies near the door. They instantly catch fire.

"The fuck?" Rogue growls, watching two zombies burst into flame. She takes aim again, shooting one of the flaming zombies in the chest three times. The force knocks him back into several of his comrades, taking them all out. "Score!"

Rogue doesn't look, or really care, where the voice is coming from, but she pops up over the edge of the desk, and takes out a couple more.

"Whoever's lightin' 'em on fire, keep it up! It's more effective than guns!" she yells.

"Mustang!" Edward calls from halfway across the fray, seeing Roy freeze up. "FOCUS! On their heads, on their chests!" He dodges through several zombies, carving off limbs as they grab for him and jumping bodily on one, taking the head off as he did so. "START SNAPPING, DAMMIT!"
