Newspaper Staff Meeting, 4pm FHT, Journalism Room

Rory was there, in the back, giggling at her computer screen.

She had her cell phone and was prepared to snap pictures of anyone who was not usually female. For posterity.

It was her job, after all.

"I'll take StuCo as usual," Peter said. "But I also have something else that I'd like to write up."

Rory raised her eyebrows. "Ooh, goody?"

"Rita Skeeter was in my superhero class," Peter said. "I forced an interview upon her."

"I think I love you," Rory said, her eyes lighting up. "What'd she tell you?"

"Well, she seemed reluctant to share any information, so I had to read in between the lines. But she's a cult leader who got remarried after she broke up with Wilbur, I guess," Peter said. "And it's Rita Skeeter-Fudge now."

"Fudge as in the food?"

"That's what she said. Maybe she married a chocolate magnate?" Peter suggested.

"Then I want to be her friend," Rory said logically. "And what better way to do that than to run a piece about her in our paper?"

"It'll be a way to honor a former paper sponsor," Peter said.

"A tribute, honestly."

"I have nothing," Angela said cheerily. "Unless you want a review of my old school's production of 'The Music Man.' Got any ideas?"

Rory tilted her head. "Hmm. Staff interview, or piece on the whole...Dude Looks Like a Lady thing? Decisions, decisions"

"Dude looks like a lady," Angela said instantly. "And I still have my camera from photography last summer, so I can get some shots."

"Nice," Rory grinned. "I've got mine, too, so we'll be sure to get everyone. Which means I think I'll take the staff interview, since we do have a new member to cover."

"We have to do a photo spread," Angela decided. "Which teacher are you thinking of?"

Rory raised her eyebrows. "You didn't hear who's back?"

Angela bounced a little. "I actually was going to ask you about that," she said. "I wasn't thinking of him as a teacher, somehow."

"How is he?"

"He's...different," she said with a smile she couldn't help. "Older. Has even less of a sense of humor than he used to. We're not getting back together or anything, before you ask."

Angela managed not to say "now." "How long was he gone, for him?" she asked. She ran a hand over her chin. "Did he know Luke?"

"Well, he's twenty-four," Rory said. "So...six years. And Luke is from his future? His...um, wife had just had Luke when Anakin left, I think. It's some weird time-travely thing."

"He's married?" Angela said in disbelief. "I mean, good for him, but ... weird. I can kind of see why Washburn gave him the ethics class, though."

"He's a widower," Rory corrected. "But yeah, he'll be good at it. He's...um, learned a lot."

Angela's brows knit; she wasn't sure she understood why Anakin would leave a baby if his wife had just died.

Maybe it was another Jedi thing she wasn't going to understand.

"Sounds like a really long six years for him," she finally said. "I guess it's just good he's back."

Rory smiled. "You should talk to him. He's different, but still Anakin."

"I will," Angela promised. "I've been kind of out of it lately, but I have to go see him."

...

Rikku looked around, shaking her head. "This is, uh. Is this because of the rain? Is it girl-rain?"

"I wish I knew," Rory giggled. "It's funny, in any case."

Rikku grinned. "It is! Especially the ones that don't seem like they dressed themselves very well." She made a face. "Although 'making out' is a pretty stupid class assignment."

Rory rolled her eyes. "I'm utterly unsurprised by it, though."

"The rain didn't turn me into a girl," Peter pointed out.

Rikku considered him. "I wonder why. Are you the only guy that's still a guy today? Is it a super power? Are you, like, super-guy?"

"I do have superpowers, but none of them are specifically related to staying a guy as far as I know," Peter said. "How would I even know, though?"

Angela clearly wanted to talk to Rory, but was waiting for her to be less-busy.

....

Logan is there!

...no one might recognize him as Logan, but he's there. Yes.

Rory figured out who he - she? - was.

And snapped a picture, la.
